yes he does give her a shrap . the story i know is " when he is teaching her tantra vidhya she sleeps off in the middle , he gets angry and says that you only deserve to be born as a fisherwoman and may you be born as one , thus mata parvati is born again in a fisherwoman's form . but they do unite again , nandi takes the form of a shark and troubles the fisherfolk , parvati prays to mahadev to protect them from the shark, mahadev takes a form of a fisherman captures the shark and wins parvati's hand in marraige again .
