The pacing is definitely all over the place. The fisherman track coming up now was pretty obvious. That legend involves Mahadev getting angry on Parvati because she got distracted while he was teaching her (I did provide another version but that involves Skanda which obviously cannot be used at this point in the show's narrative). And for the past few episodes Vishnu and Mahadev have both been going on and on about the importance of Parvati learning Tantra Vidya from Mahadev in order to defeat the asuras. Ergo: it is this Tantra Vidya that Parvati will be learning from Mahadev when she will get distracted or something, get cursed and then reborn as a fisherwoman. The Kali track cannot happen before this since she has to master the Tantric knowledge to manifest that aspect of herself (as established by the show in recent episodes). It has to happen afterward.
The problem is that they've already introduced Shumbha-Nishumbha and other asuras on the show and are now hurrying into the fisherwoman track. Those asuras could have been introduced later and they could have gone into the fisherwoman track with better pacing. Oh well.
And it's way too soon after the marriage for this track but I guess they are going to use Durvasa's curse as the justification for these events.
