Moreover, in rudra chamaka, the chamak is what he recites which is why every thing ends with a 'me'. Like Shanchame, priyanchanme, etc etc etc.

Chamakam was recited by Daksha ?

Much later? I'm going by the ACK Kartikeya, and in that, when he's a teen, the devas ask Mahadev to send him @ the head of their army, and he leads an army of devas & ganas in invading Surapadman's kingdom. Yes. Karthikeya killed him while still in his early teens. So that is much later na. Their first obstacle is the asura Kraucha, who took the form of a mountain. Kartikeya destroyed him. Taraka then went out to fight him, & he too got killed. This news shook Surapadman and Simhamukha, and he even made a case for making peace w/ Kartikeya, but Surapadman dismissed that. He then sent his son into battle the next day, but he got killed (I'm forgetting some of the names here). He then appealed to Simhamukha, and when Simhamukha was felled by Kartikeya, he apologized, and was blessed that he would be Mahakali's vehicle. Finally, when Surapadman himself fought and died, he was blessed to be Kartikeya's vehicle.

I thought that Taraka was a tad unlucky not to have been anyone's vehicle. W/ enough foresight, Kartikeya could have converted him into a Porsche convertible 😆 Agree 😊

Yes. Infact legend has it when Shiva replaced Daksha's head with the goats head - Daksha realised his ignorance and he spontaneously composed the Chamakam to appease Shiva more. And its deals mainly with the blessings which can be got by devotion to Shiva. Thats why though Rudram is rom Rig Veda, Chamakam forms part of the Yajur Veda.
