Hi all, I'm Sia.😃
I have got this privilege of updating the Written version of the show for Mondays and Fridays.

I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity.

Devon Ke Dev Mahadev

17th-August-2012 : "Reuniting with Prasuti and Daksh"

With devi Parvati in the royal palanquin the barati head towards the Kailasha, with Mahadev leading them.
The air reverberated with 'Har har Mahadev.'

Then Parvati softly requests the palanquin bearers to stop and put her down.

On Shiva's inquire, Paravti says that she wants to be liberated completely.
Shiva asks what is it that she wants to be free from?
Parvati replies - that she wanted to get liberated of her past life's indebtedness towards Daksh. Its essential for making this marriage complete.
Shiva smiles and giving Nandi the Idol which came with Parvati as Vadhu dhan.. asks Nandi to carry on with the journey back to Kailash; Parvati and he would reach soon.

After Sati's death, the Shakti pethas that Mahadev established; Mahadev and Parvati passing by all those Pethas reach Manikarnika Ghat.

Devi Parvati puts vermilion and showering flowers onto the pind

She then does the arti puts her earring near it - conveying the completion of the Shakti petha.
Parvati utters "One of my earrings feel on this ghat and by rendering the other one , now this Shakti peth is complete."

"Until now devotes praying on this Shkati petha got my blessings, but from this day on they will be blessed with both our grace" Says Shiva.
Paravti is happy to know that.

All of a sudden Parvati hears someone call "Sati! Sati,My daughter"
"Father? its my father's voice " saying that she runs towards the voice.

She reach Daksha- her father in the last birth.
Parvati then touch his feet and pays her reverence.

"Sati, my daughter, my redemption is not over yet; don't add to it ", Daksh says.

Prasuti sees Parvati embraces her feeling contented.
" I feel very gladdened to see you. The pain that blazed my heart , now feels solaced seeing your Sindor and Mangalsutr. " Prasuti shares.

Daksh regrets and apologizes for his previous behavior and mistakes.
"I too was at mistake father, I was ignorant of the right definition of love. I was unknown of all those phases of Shiv bhakti. I should have made those sides of Mahadev which I realized in this birth. Instead I become Love blind and cadenced my love track! " Parvati tells.

"Even we couldn't understand your feelings dear, but now we have very well realized Shiva's greatness. The daughter whom I saw self-annihilating herself in the form of a married women, Now is standing infront of me as a newly wed!" (Earring ke pichee kya hai earring ke pichee.. This moment Parvati gave away her earring at the shakti petha and in other she magically it makes its way back to its original place!😕)

Anyway moving on.. Parvati invites her parents to meet their Son-in-law.
Daksha feels happy to hear 'father' from Parvati.
Prasuti says that "Today, you have freed us from the blame of murdering."
Parvati persuades them to meet Mahadev.. Daksh refuses to meet him, as he feels abashed of his behavior with Mahadev.
Parvati says that Mahadev and she cannot start their new life without the blessing of these two.

Parvati assures them that kindness personified Mahadev would forgive and liberate them.

Patal-lok:

A sevak comes and informs Shumb -Nishumb abt the arrival of Tarkasur and Shukracharya.

They praise each other for their evil achievements. And also that Shumbh-Nushumb can be killed only by a women.

Tarkasur puts fforth his proposal of attacking te devas..when asked by them that why didnt he do that, Tarkasur points on Shukrachaya's promise to Mahadev.
They accept the proposal... but ask him what would be their reward?
Tarkasur offer them half of the Swarg apsaras.

Tarkasur also informs that Parvati is the most beautiful women on earth and wouldn't they have a chance there!!

They appoint their senapati Dhumrlochan for the task.

Daksh and Prasuti along with Parvati reach the Shakti petha place where Shiva awaits for his wife.
Daksha asks for apology to Mahadev for his sins.
Parvati, this time as a daughter request Mahadev to forgive her father.

Daksh then requests Mahadev that he wanted to do the arti of Parvati and him.
Prasuti n Daksh does the arti of Mahadev and Parvati (Title Montage -BG plays .)

Then Shiva gifts Daksha his original form back.. Daksha's head is restored!
Prasuti n Daksha feel overwhelmed!
A must watch scene.. I'm sure u too will feel those goosebumps

Both sasur and Damat- Daksh and Shiv are seated like Devote and diety.. where Daksha chants 'Om namha shiva'

Parvati n Prasuti are happy to see this.
Prasuti wants to share something personal with Parvati.

Prasuti advices "Parvati, you married life is gonna begin; until now you two struggled to get each other- each others love. But a marriage is complete only when you accept its individual n radical aspects. "

"For a husband and wife to come near each other - they need privacy, And i believe Mahadev n you should spend some time at Tarukvan. "

These episode was a real let down. As I've noted, Parvati all the time referring to Daksha & Prashuti as her parents is BS. And her touching Daksha's feet was totally inappropriate. In her previous birth, as Sati, that would have been fine, but in this birth, it's Daksha who ought to have bowed to her, not the other way around 😡

And as Shruti pointed out in another thread, if Daksha can get his head back, why not Ganapati, who was guilty of a lot less than what Daksha was guilty of? I'm fine w/ the serial trying to bring closure on Daksha, but that shouldn't be by so grossly distorting the story, never mind what they've been doing w/ other scenes. Please tell me that that's the last that we've seen of Daksha & Prashuti, as well as the 'sisters' of Parvati - Khyatti, Aditi, et al.

Back to Taki's meeting w/ Shumbh/Nishumbh, in the original story, were Shumbh/Nishumbh lustily after women, or is that one more of the demonization of demons that this serial liberally does? Taki is not known to even have ever met Shumbh or Nishumbh, so why insert that he inspired them to have lusty motives towards a newly wed Parvati? And there is a character gap b/w Shukracharya's reaction here and the way he normally upbraids Tarakasura. He is the guru of all the asuras, not just Tarakasura's group (the way Brihaspati is the guru of all the devas), so how come he can't - or doesn't - bother to rein in Shumbh & Nishumbh from such a move? Or is the serial trying to show that he's not their guru?

Seeing these events, a new thought just struck me. I'm wondering if they've decided to show all the Durga and Mahakali stories now, so as to coincide w/ Navratri/Durga Puja as it arrives? After that, go to Kartikeya, and maybe coincide Ganesh w/ next year's Ganesh chaturthi? Anybody thinks that that's what they're trying here, given the horrendous sequencing?

Vrish: who are playing shumbh nishumbh? they look familiar, i have seen them in ramayan or something else before.

as for durga story, thats precisely what they r aiming for. however given their penchant for distortion, i think they will show shumbh nishumbh trying to seduce parvati and shiv running after them with his trishul.

I don't rilli see sonarika doing the durga form.

and and somewhere in swarga, panini, the compiler of sanskrit grammar is turning in his dhyan, rupvan stree. this is the 3rd time they did that, first young parvati was blessed by rajpuroti as ayushman bhava! , then mohit said u r rupvan and now finally the asura's too.

do the dialogue writers never ever turn the pages of a grammar book before writing such bhari bharkam dialogue.

It hurts the ear terribly.😡

There should be a limit to creativity yaar. This misinterpretation can bring bigger probs. Daksh getting his head back, and Kaali arriving so soon...Did this really happen?
The biggest fault was Tarkasur being shown in Sati's era.
And today they showed Shumbh and Nishumbh craving 4 parvati? I mean, don't they worship Shivji? How can they think of abducting his consort??
I am getting more n more confused with every epi.

It's a gimmick - they undoubtedly want to show all this stuff around the pujas, so as to coincide. Never mind the sequence - if they could show Bhageerath happening already, then what's to stop this?

Only accuracy here - there was a good number of years b/w marriage of Mahadev-Parvati and the birth of Kartikeya. So in b/w, they have to fill up interesting stuff. Truth is that no one knows whether Mahishashur, Shumbha-Nishumbha, Chanda, Munda, Raktabheej et al happened before or after the birth of Kartikeya. So showing the Ma Durga events now ain't a problem, but making it look like Shumbha & Nishumbha were lustful after Parvati is.

One of the guys playing Shumbha or Nishumbha is the same guy who played Mura (Narakasura's general) in DBSK - dunno whether you saw that. Mnx, do you happen to recall who it was? I'd have to dig back there to find out. I saw that guy in CGM as well.

Parvati doing the shakti peeth's pooja was so funny to me.😆They say that after a soul leaves the body,the body is of no use and here parvati was doing pooja of her own body of her previous birth.😆Isn't that too a blooper?Today's episode was full of bloopers.She left her ear ring with the shakti peeth but when she met daksh and prasuti,the ear ring was back on her ear.😆

I agree,there should be a limit to fiction.i won't call all these which they are showing as creativity but it's definitely stupidity of mahadev getting back daksh's head.The cvs wanted to give this message to the viewers that God forgives human being's biggest to biggest sins if the human being does the prayaschit with pure heart.Mahadev would have just told him that he has forgiven him.There was no need to bring back daksh's head.In that case,he could have made sati also alive and there would have been no need for her to take birth again.😆

Sometimes i feel the cvs,themselves are commiting sins by showing all these stuff.

yes, i watched tarakasura episode, thats why it seems so familiar, i knew he was a sagar guy, i found his name too, in a tc article.

anyways no blopper beats the grammar blooper, honestly, they r murdering hindi,sanskrit.

The episode was STUFFED with bloopers...

for starters Dakshu didnt get his head back...as ive said earlier at that Rate Ganapati should have got his head back too...

i suppose they used the getting-his-head-back thing to maybe put forward that Mahadev had forgiven Daksh...but its still stupid!!!and makes no sense!

Parvati doing Pooja of her own Shakti Peetha was also not needed,i could have even undersyood if she had done pooja of the Shivling,why the Shakit Peeth when she is Shakti herself!Not to forget that she put here earning there that miraculously appeared back in her ear again

at this rate them fast forwarding the Ganga track or for that matter Shumbh and Nishumbh is a much lesser evil!

From what i have read as per some Versions Shumb and Nishumb were attracted towards Parvatis avatar(some places say it was Kali,some say it was Durga)...

Shumbh and Nishumbh
This story comes in Devee Bhaagvat, Vaaman Puraan

According to Devee Bhaagvat Shumbh and Nishumbh were two Asur brothers. According to Vaaman Puraan they were the two brothers - sons of Kashyap and Danu. They performed severe Tapasyaa and obtained the Var from Brahmaa Jee that they would not be killed by any male, be it human being, or animal, or bird etc, rather they would like to be killed by some woman (like Mahishaasur).

Shumbh became the King and Chand and Mund and Raktbeej were helping them. Then Durgaa went to kill them. Shumbh's minister Sugreev reported that a beautiful woman was coming towards his palace. Shumbh sent him to that woman with the marriage proposal to her. Devee said - "I am ready to marry him but he had to defeat me in battle first." Hearing this Shumbh sent Dhoomralochan to bring her tied. Devee said - "Shumbh is a fool, can Aadi Shakti marry anybody?" So Dhoomralochan fought with Devee and was killed by her.

After him, Shumbh sent Chand and Mund to bring her there, but Devee killed them also. Then Shumbh sent Raktbeej, Deve killed him also. Then Devee sent Shankar Jee as her messenger to Shumbh that "either you go to Paataal Lok or get ready to be killed by Devee." So Nishumbh came to fight and was killed. Seeing his brother killed Shumbh got very angry and came to fight with Chandikaa Devee. He challenged her - "Don't be proud on borrowed powers from other Devtaa." Chandikaa said - "O wicked, I am the only Power of this Universe, see all Devtaa are entering me." Then both fought fiercely. In the end Devee killed Shumbh by her Trishool (trident).

but looking at Parvati lustily...eekkksss!!!

the only way the Cvs can rectify this blunder is if they give us a kick ass action sequence of Parvati/Kali beating these guys and thier croonies to pulp!!!after this blunder they better show that!

I am not even going to comment on the "creativity" of this show anymore...It's complete looney tunes, and has been for sometime. Emosnal atyaachaar, OTT drama...you name it and it's there.

I'm just enjoying it as a soap opera with costumes... and oh yeah some mythology here and there...
