He has always love her -- through pain and joy .. she's always his.

I see the changes in him after watching the old episodes back and forth.
He opens his whole heart to her after he realize he can't lose her.

I fell he always loved her since the guest house scene he start falling for her but it was just his ego holding him back. He was scared of love.
