Hey Borna
Totally loved your post and the title of the post. 👏
KS was phenomenal today. How can you not love this character. She keeps getting blown away by tornados yet she stands there strong for her son.
I am all the way with you on Aarti's radiant smile. That smile does something to Yash, just like when he saw it on the day of their engagement when she was talking about Ansh, and then at the mall when she was talking to his daughters, and then on their wedding night laughing at Pari and Pratiks antics and numerous times after that when she is with Ansh. Her smile truly melts his bruised heart.
After reading your post and Poco's post my mind was whirling with these thoughts. Apologize if I sound like a total loony. 😛
The bangles that broke the faith.
She had once attempted to return the bangles to him. The bangles that symbolized his and Arpita's love. He didn't take it when she returned it. He wanted her to keep it. He entrusted her with something that was so precious to him. He had faith in her that she would treasure it just as he did. In a way he had given Aarti a piece of his heart that day. When she returned the bangle, he fell apart. 😭She broke his faith in her. He doesn't really know why but that one act shattered him as a man.
The ink that shattered the trust.
She never wanted to trust him. How could she? Yet she really had no choice. That was the beauty of the man. Every time she turned away from him he would come and stand in front of her like a mountain, immovable, asking her again and again, to trust him. Finally, when he sacrificed his life for her, she did trust him. She did not run away scared, she did not question if it was too soon, she just did! She trusted him with very atom in her being. And then she sees the ink, Yash's scrawled signature, on those dreaded papers and her trust is shattered once again. 😭
How will they rebuild that faith and that trust? How can they? Yet they have to. They are soul mates. Now that they have met, their souls will keep calling to each other. Today, it was by the side of the road, tomorrow it will in front of the school. How much longer can they keep running away. Someday, they will have to face each other and face the fact that they belong to each other for good or bad.
And for all our sakes lets hope that day comes pretty soon.
And I have to say that Maham's VM Darmiyaan is so perfect for what ArYa are feeling right now.

Hey Kirthi! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I had to put quite a bit of thought into my title and song choice today because I am saving sadder songs for the volcano that will erupt later...KS was phenomenal today. How can you not love this character. She keeps getting blown away by tornados yet she stands there strong for her son.
I know! Aarti may be forced to bend, but she tries to stand strong. If she falls, she struggles to get back on her feet no matter what. That's what I feel Kratika meant when she would talk about how Aarti is a strong, positive woman. I love this about this character. And I simply have to repeat that question of yours: How can anyone not love this character?I am all the way with you on Aarti's radiant smile.
Aww, Aarti's smiles have become so rare, haven't they? That's why they're valued so much more...When she smiles, it's from the heart, and I think that smile of hers will play a part in the healing process. That smile is already something that Yash looks for - the various shades of her smile mean many things to him: a signal of approval, a gesture of maternal warmth...When one of those smiles will come to hold a special meaning for him, it will heal those bruises.
Oh gosh! Just as Aarti's trust and faith in Yash was beginning to strengthen, his faith was broken! It hurts that he doesn't know what really happened, that he doesn't know that Aarti never wanted to part with those bangles that had come to mean something to her as well!
You've put this so beautifully! Those papers must have been like a nightmare playing out in front of her eyes...Deja vu. I think Dubey ji's statement to her about this not being a bhram was so telling of what she wanted those papers to be. She wanted that moment to be an illusion that would fade away, but it wasn't. The signatures were a confirmation, on page after page, that she is being rejected again. That trust and hope that she had because of her Yash ji shattered in that moment. It was so painful to see that reflected in her eyes - Kratika was wonderful!
We've seen Destiny trying to bring those souls together...Now the same thing is happening, but it's because they're calling out to each other. *sigh* (On a more practical note, they won't be able to avoid each other for too long anyway!)
And I have to say that Maham's VM Darmiyaan is so perfect for what ArYa are feeling right now.

Dwelling on the Details: In the Face of Turmoil
{Episode 68}May 23rd, 2012: Kuch Toh Tha Tere Mere Darmiyaan...Final thought after watching the episode: GAH, I love love LOVE this show! 😃Moments I loved...- Bua's ability to hit the target with her poisoned arrows - she IS like Shakuni from the Mahabharat, and that's scary. When she went to get the kangans from Aarti and had to force them off of Aarti's wrists, I liked that Aarti doesn't move or say anything. It looked like that act was hurting Aarti both physically and emotionally, but she didn't show it until she was in her room. Oh, I LOVE the camerawork and BG music during this scene, too! When Bua holds up the kangans, we see Aarti's face through them - I especially love the moments where each kangan surrounds one of her eyes as she looks at them.
Absolutely agree on the Shakuni part. She will surely try to cause the downfall of Scindia relationships. And yeah, mindblowing camera work...👏- Aaarti's heart breaks, then shatters - Kratika excelled again, breaking my heart into pieces once more! The way Aarti was looking at her wrists and feeling them made me feel as though Arpita's kangans had become so much a part of Aarti (through them being a symbol of her relationship with Yash) that their loss is like having scars left behind...I don't know why that thought came to mind. The tears trailing down Aarti's cheek touched me, too...Until the divorce papers came.- The world shakes and begins to crumble beneath her feet... - Fantastic camerawork here! I've seen lots of shots where the camera rotates around the actors, but this is probably the first time I've ever felt that the camera was actually shaking...I don't know if I imagined that, but it certainly felt like it was shaking as it circled around Kratika, who conveyed Aarti's shock and disbelief perfectly. The rest of the scenes regarding the divorce papers were excellent! Not going to take up more room talking about it here even though I'd love to!
I always love your Kratika-katha, dear.😆She was absolutely perfect in portraying what Aarti was going through at that moment. It was truly an earth shattering moment for her - Her 2nd marriage too was going to end up in a divorce. It must have been a huge setback for a fighter like Aarti. 😭 Kratika made Aarti's agony seem tangible. ⭐️- The toughest shell is starting to crack - Finally Palak says something about Aarti! And what a way to start! Thos colored clips, the sauteli mummy issue...But at the end of it all, Aarti IS the girls' nayi mummy, and that's what matters; Palak had to "correct" herself in front of everyone because that's how Gayatri and Bua described Aarti, but what automatically falls from the child's lips is "nayi mummy."
Exactly!! We all thought Payal was the softer one. But I am really glad that this separation track has opened up so many character sketches. The kids are after all innocent and when someone gives them love unconditionally, they will slowly but surely respond back. 👏- I'm loving the way Aarti is starting to freeze up everytime Yash ji is mentioned, whether in the form of "Yash ji" or "naye papa" because she used to do that earlier when Prashant's name was mentioned...Like that phone conversation in Yash's room during the kidnapping, Aarti no longer responds to "Prashant" but is starting to respond powerfully to any mention of "Yash ji."
Bingo! Prashant is surely out of her mind and heart now! I just loved it when she said to her mom - Haan ma, main Yash ji ko chahne lagi hun... bohot chahne lagi hun. 😳 Beautiful moment - Aarti is slowly giving up on Prashant.- Prateek finds his voice - Aah, I love how strongly he speaks to his mother! I think Prateek's assertiveness took Gayatri by surprise and she sees that as a threat...But even when she reprimanded him, most of the time the look on his face wasn't one of meek submission. (And did I imagine a flicker of pride in Pankaj's eyes at one point?) Looking forward to seeing what the younger generation does in the coming episodes!
Ah! The Gen Y is my only hope now. And G3-SP are going to fall flat on their faces when all of them rise up in revolt against their dictatorship in Scindia house. 😉- I'm going to take a moment to gush about how adorable that last scene was, so bear with me. While Yash was watching the mother-son interaction with all those pressing questions forcing their way out of the box he had stuffed them into in the back of his mind, I loved how Aarti was trying to loosen up and smile and find a few moments of happiness for Ansh's sake. That radiant smile would melt a million hearts...wouldn't it?
Oh, what wouldn't I do to see Kratika/Aarti smile everyday... When she smiles, you not only say - What a beautiful smile! You actually smile with her and you don't even realise it. It is infectious 😃Throwbacks- Yash dropping the pen before signing the divorce papers...Reminded me of: Aarti dropping the engagement ring when she didn't want to get married to Yash but was being forced to (more or less). Bua's comments brought back the Yash who kept repeating that Arpita Mantra - I liked the touch where he picks up the pen and signs the divorce papers with a vengeance and then strides off, not even caring that he had knocked some of the papers to the ground!
That was actually expected! Once you hit on Yash's soft spot - the Arpita corner, he was bound to retaliate and with a vengeance. And that resemblance with Aarti dropping the pen is uncanny... The dropping of the pen also reminded me of Mira's FF - From a place of silence. 😛- "Mujhme hi kahin koi kami hai..." - Reminded me of: Vimla's taunts...AGAIN. God, this was such a painful scene to watch, along with the companion scene where Yash questions his fate of never being able to maintain a relationship...Painful, painful thoughts, but so, so beautiful, too. These wounded souls WILL find each other and heal together. The variation in Kratika's expressions when Aarti mentions that Prashant left her (with a sort of steely recognition/acknowledgement) and then that Yash has also rejected her (this seemed like it was causing her MORE pain, from the way she squeezes her eyes shut and her voice breaks) was amazing. The more I watch PV, the more I am certain that after JKR, this role is going to be remembered as one of Kratika's best.
Very heart-wrenching!! Kratika has come out victorious with her appropriate portrayal of Aarti. And bang on - the variation in her voice and expression as she mentioned being left by Prashant and Yash - shows which relationship she gives more importance to now. 😳And now that I've said that, I'd like to think that the same applies to Gurmeet and his portrayal of Yash, but there are probably many out there who can take that call from a more informed POV. If Aarti's heart shattered, Yash's mind is not at peace - he cannot focus on his work even though he has a laptop in front of him (and he's on Aarti's side of the bed again...or is it Arpita's side? *sigh*) and the questions that he wants to ask are firmly dismissed by the assumption that Aarti herself sent the kangans back - what more is there to talk about? "Sab kuch pehle jaisa ho jaayega..." - but we know it won't! I think Yash may know this too, but he's trying so hard to believe otherwise.
Yash and Aarti both are trying so hard to believe the other. Both of them certainly not at peace. Shows how well they have connected with each other. And I absolutely love that Yash is on Aarti's side of the bed - no more of his fastidious nature. 😉- The precap...Reminded me of: that first Ek Duje Ke Vaaste sequence where Aarti's orange dupatta had brought a blinding burst of color into Yash's life. This time around, Aarti's purple sari pallu firmly covers up Yash's sideview mirror. From what I see, I'm liking that Aarti turns but Yash automatically moves to free the pallu...He stops moving when he REALLY sees Aarti standing there...And he doesn't seem to want to move, either. The first time around, neither Yash nor Aarti could see each other clearly. Now they can see each other, but...well, we'll find out soon.
Every thing in this show comes a full circle and so did this. 😉😳
😳
I always love your Kratika-katha, dear.😆She was absolutely perfect in portraying what Aarti was going through at that moment. It was truly an earth shattering moment for her - Her 2nd marriage too was going to end up in a divorce. It must have been a huge setback for a fighter like Aarti. 😭 Kratika made Aarti's agony seem tangible. ⭐️And I love hearing your Kratika-katha just as much, Mamita! 😃 A second attempt at marriage for Ansh's sake, at the same dead end as the first one, which ended in spite of Aarti's pleas for her first husband to not abandon Ansh. I knew that those divorce papers would devastate her, but I hadn't expected her to fight and refuse to sign those papers the way she did. Such agony but she still refused to let go of the relationship she had been so reluctant to forge a while back.- The toughest shell is starting to crack - Finally Palak says something about Aarti!
👏I thought Payal was the softer one, and I still think she might be - remember the bedtime story? I think the sisters are both still wary of Aarti because of that sauteli mummy notion that has been ingrained into their heads. Palak speaking up during the episode does bode well because she wasn't being antagonistic while speaking of Aarti for once. That's definitely a start! And she didn't have to point out that her "nayi mummy" was standing on the other side of the road either, but she did. For a second I felt as though Palak wanted to step out there and be treated the way Ansh was being treated. Aarti and Ansh looked so happy...Which child wouldn't want to experience those same feelings of happiness and love?- I'm loving the way Aarti is starting to freeze up everytime Yash ji is mentioned, whether in the form of "Yash ji" or "naye papa" because she used to do that earlier when Prashant's name was mentioned...Like that phone conversation in Yash's room during the kidnapping, Aarti no longer responds to "Prashant" but is starting to respond powerfully to any mention of "Yash ji."
Bingo! Prashant is surely out of her mind and heart now! I just loved it when she said to her mom - Haan ma, main Yash ji ko chahne lagi hun... bohot chahne lagi hun. 😳 Beautiful moment - Aarti is slowly giving up on Prashant.I loved that too! Even though Shobha may have been jumping ahead of herself, Aarti's affirmative answer was beautiful because of the way she regarded her relationship with Yash ji as one that was pure, full of respect...The bhakt-bhagwaan analogy was interesting...merits further thought perhaps. I loved the connection she made between saanson (Aarti) and zindagi (Yash) because that was some beautiful dialogue...Fits with the whole idea of living life again...But now Aarti is struggling to breathe, if we take that analogy further and extend it to today's episode.- Prateek finds his voice - Aah, I love how strongly he speaks to his mother!
😉Baby steps for these guys. I'm going to be patient with them, since it's difficult to revolt in a house where the dictators are your own parents who have raised you and nurtured you for so long...It will be exciting to see how things change for sure! 😊- I'm going to take a moment to gush about how adorable that last scene was, so bear with me. While Yash was watching the mother-son interaction with all those pressing questions forcing their way out of the box he had stuffed them into in the back of his mind, I loved how Aarti was trying to loosen up and smile and find a few moments of happiness for Ansh's sake. Oh, what wouldn't I do to see Kratika/Aarti smile everyday... When she smiles, you not only say - What a beautiful smile! You actually smile with her and you don't even realise it. It is infectious 😃Same here, my friend, same here! That's exactly what happens with me, too, when I'm watching her! ❤️Throwbacks- Yash dropping the pen before signing the divorce papers...Reminded me of: Aarti dropping the engagement ring when she didn't want to get married to Yash but was being forced to (more or less). The dropping of the pen also reminded me of Mira's FF - From a place of silence. 😛Yeah, I wasn't too surprised after Bua released her arrow. It was expected and consistent with Yash's characterization, but he's still questioning why Aarti left...I like that he's not blaming her or divorcing her to inflict punishment on her. Yay for turning more cliches on their heads!- "Mujhme hi kahin koi kami hai..." - Reminded me of: Vimla's taunts...AGAIN. God, this was such a painful scene to watch, along with the companion scene where Yash questions his fate of never being able to maintain a relationship...Painful, painful thoughts, but so, so beautiful, too. And bang on - the variation in her voice and expression as she mentioned being left by Prashant and Yash - shows which relationship she gives more importance to now. 😳Yep! Worthy of a standing ovation, all these little details and nuances that are given so much attention by the PV team. It's up to the viewers to catch the nuances as they come, and I love that!"Victorious" is a good word - I keep thinking of that interview answer where Kratika said, "I don't think about it (whether Aarti is going to overshadow Laxmi Bai), I believe in it!" *sigh* Love her to pieces. She deserves all the accolades she's getting - and much more! And now that I've said that, I'd like to think that the same applies to Gurmeet and his portrayal of Yash, but there are probably many out there who can take that call from a more informed POV. Yash and Aarti both are trying so hard to believe the other. Both of them certainly not at peace. Shows how well they have connected with each other. And I absolutely love that Yash is on Aarti's side of the bed - no more of his fastidious nature. 😉Agree, agree! They are both refusing to accept that the other doesn't possess the capability or heartlessness (for lack of a better word, can't think right now) to simply get up and leave like the rest of the Scindias are saying. I wonder if Yash is going to be picky again when Aarti comes back. Maybe he's just going to reserve "her side" of the bed for her...That would be sweet.- The precap...Reminded me of: that first Ek Duje Ke Vaaste sequence where Aarti's orange dupatta had brought a blinding burst of color into Yash's life. 😳And I loved whatever I could see of it! Can't wait to see the actual scene!![]()
@Borna: Oh...I absolutely loved your analysis today. For me, at this point of time it doesn't matter whether Aarti or Kratika...both are just superlative. I found "sabh kuch pehele jaisa ho jayega" lines to be very loaded with meaning...Yash didn't specify, did he? He may mean "before Aarti," but does his heart???? 😍
