because everyone seems so depressed about the fact that the April 28th ME is cancelled..i would like to revive this topic to boost up the morale a bit 😉
I have done an analysis on dates and how long I think this contract marriage will last in terms of episodes. i am applying a formula here, but we all know that this is not how CVs think...I was just bored and came up with this idea 😆. hope you like it...
OK. So, I based this analysis off of a comparison of IPKKND timeline to the timeline of BHPH (Baat Hamari Pakki Hai), A.K.A Barun Sobti's previous show. The reason I chose to compared it to that show out of all others is..
1. Both the shows are FourLions

3. Both the shows have the 6 month contract, misunderstanding that is eventually solved...(in BHPH, this misunderstanding comes after the marriage, in IPK, it comes as a cause for the marriage)
ALSO, for those who will retaliate saying that in BHPH, the marriage terms were 1 year, I want to say that yes, originally it was a year, BUT they shorted it to 6 months...right?
Now for the analysis of BHPH...
BHPH began on Monday, May 31st, 2010. Saavan's wedding special was aired on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in a MahaEpisode (ME). This was the first ME in the show since the beginning of the show.
From the beginning of BHPH, there were 86 episodes until the wedding aired on screen. Then, the contract marriage ended with a beautiful poolside sing-song confession scene on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. The contract marriage, starting from the day the wedding was aired, lasted for 36 episodes. This stretch was shown without any ME again.
If you are wondering how I got the number 86, let me tell you. When BHPH started, it aired M-R for 30 minutes. The first time this show aired on a Friday was Friday, August 20, 2010. From this day onwards, it continued to air M-F. I took this into consideration when counting the number of episodes.
Now for the analysis of IPKKND...
IPK began on Monday, June 6, 2011. ArShi's wedding happened on Friday, February 17, 2012 in a normal episode. This was a contract marriage with the terms of 6 months as well. The marriage was aired 189 episodes after the start of the show.
You must be wondering how I got 189. I literally counted the number of episodes from the beginning to the day of wedding on a M-F basis. In these, remember that there were 5 ME as follows:
I am assuming that we all know proportions,correct? So, let's set up a proportion between the number of episodes till the marriage and the number of episodes the contract term lasted for both the shows:
36/86 = 189/x
solving for x, or the number of episodes the contract marriage would theoretically last:
36x = 16,254
x = 452 episodes
Now, counting the number of episodes from the day of the wedding, the contract term should end Wednesday, 13 November 2013.
Now, you say WHAT THE-! and I say, HOLD YOUR HORSES! 😆
We said that it took 36 days for BHPH to air the wedding, right? And it took IPK 189 epis, out of which were 5 ME. If you all remember, BHPH did not last that long, so let's assume that the more number of episodes it takes to cover the same length of a similar plotline, the more popular a show is.
It took IPK 2.16 times longer to get to the marriage point than BHPH. Thus, we can assume that it is 2.16 times more popular. Also, remember that SP allotted 5 ME slots for IPK up until the wedding whereas BHPH did not get any. This also shows a greater popularity.
If we say that the track will be complete 2.16 times faster than what is directly proportional to BHPH, we get 211 episodes from the day of wedding to beautiful poolside confession scene on the last day of contract marriage.
From counting, this would be Monday, December 10th, 2012.
HOLY CRAP! That is still a long time! I have further theory (I know...i am too theoretical..you say, "When will she shut up? 😆)
BHPH wedding aired in a ME, but there were no MEs before the marriage or within the contract term. However, IPK wedding aired on a normal Friday epi, but there were 5 MEs before the marriage. So, lets say that there will be approx 2 MEs during the contract term. We all know that MEs speed up the track events a bit, right? So, let's assume it is at a factor of 2.
Also, based on watching other shows on their channels, lets assume that there is 2 times less drama and filler-epis shown on SP than on Sony. Thus, the track is covered in 2 times less time.
Based on these two assumptions, let's say that the term with be on screen 4 times as fast as a direct proportionality to BHPH (in addition to the 2.16 times that was already calculated earlier). So, instead of 211 episodes, the term will take:
211/4 = 53 episodes approximately.
From counting from the date of the marriage, this would be Tuesday, May 1st, 2012. WOAH! That's a lot sooner! Because this makes me (and I'm sure you all agree with me) more hopeful and happier about the track, I'll stick to it! 😆😳
BUT, we all say that Wednesday epis are the best, right? Also, since BHPH wedding was on a ME, and IPK wedding was not, I think that IPK contract end/confession would be in a ME.
So...*drum roll* finalist dates are:
