Okay so this is a new experiment - I wrote the OS with the picture description .. I was making a siggy, but instead ended up writing this one .. It is based after the stupid kiss fiasco -- urghh i hated that track!! .. anyways .. hope it's enjoyable!

Who's on the Phone?

"just a minute", Nupur smiled to Mayank's colleague at the landline and turned to call Mayank, but as she turned, her mouth left open.

Mayank was talking on his cell phone, with his eyes twinkling and his face flashing that breath taking smile. Nupur was in the kitchen and had come rushing for the phone call, She thought Mayank would be in the washroom, but here he was smiling and talking and completely ignoring the ringing landline.

For a moment Nupur felt herself tensed all over but a deep breath helped, "umm Mr Gupta, Mayank tu so rahe hain, he'll call back in the morning", she said sweetly and disconnecting the call, she slammed the cordless on the set.

"oho!, kis ka phone tha?", Mayank giggled.

He was over with his call by the mean time and was now smiling at Nupur, fuming even more, Nupur walked towards the bed in slow steps, "tum batao, kis ka phone tha?", she crossed her arms around her stomach and was glaring.

Knowing his wife so aptly, he could guess that Mrs Nupur Bhushan Sharma is currently jealous. He sighed at the re affirmation of his belief that something would never change.

"umm, kisi ka nahi, just a friend", he shrugged and lied down, making Nupur frown even more, "listen Mayank!, batao kis ka phone tha!", she raised her voice a bit, and this made Mayank;s temper rise as well. Opening his eyes, Mayank sighed, "nupur!, I hope we are not repeating that kiss fiasco again!", he said calmly and turned to the other side and feeling her pulse rise, Nupur just stared back.

She took a minute to register Mayank's words and when she did, She couldn't believe Mayank said that on her face. Suddenly the blood in her veins started pumping hard and her eye pockets getting started feeling moist. Threating to break down in an audible crying, she quickly went away to change.

Standing in the front of the mirror, she splashed cold water. Tears didn't flow with the speed she had expected, but something was paining her heart, and she wanted to go back to Mayank. Returning in her night suit, she quietly lied beside and obviously sleep was no where.

She knew she had behaved unreasonably during the kiss fiasco, but that was obviously over. She never doubted Mayank, and neither did she ever spied him, it was that .. it was that she was always curious about him, always worried about him, always wanting to know what was he doing, always!

But that was irritating, she knew that was irritating, still couldn't control her habit. Taking a brief trip down the memory lane, she realized that it had always been her habit, to budge and over power, and it was Mayank who always compromised and understood.

Taking a deep breath, she stole a look at his sleeping picture. Apparently he was sleeping calmly, she smiled at his peaceful look, and biting her lip, carefully moved close to him.

He was such a perfect handsome man, a blessing any girl could ask for, and tonight, he was looking much hotter in his vests. Sighing Nupur scolded herself. Why did she always had to do this? Why couldn't she just calm down and give Mayank his personal space, but then again, there shouldn't be any concept of personal space in a married couple, but if not personal space, then surely trust and patience was what marriages are based on - no correction - happy marriages are based on.

She smiled at her realization, and again too impatient to wait till morning, she carefully placed a sloppy kiss on his cheek and he moved in sleep, "love u ..", he mumbled and placed his arms around her and completely taken by surprise, she whispered, "I love you too", she was about to kiss him again when Mayank interrupted and she was left shocked,

"hope this is not an attempt to inquire about the phone call", he observed her and feeling a displaced breath, Nupur licked her lips, and smiled, "it is not Mayank, I trust you", she smiled and before he could say anything, she pecked his lips and snuggled and closed her eyes, "good night!, I love uu".

Mayank was left but no option but to smile, "good night", he said and hugged her back, closing his eyes, no doubt his attempt to hide the phone call of her surprise birthday party had brought him some life lasting favors!.
