Chapter # 1 -
Having your own way. She placed away the bottle and concentrated on the only sound audible in the room ' and that was of the cricket. She had heard that locating a cricket is not possible following its sound. Strange. She took a deep breath and following the human nature of unveiling mysteries, she uselessly tried to follow the sound and got up from her chair to locate the cricket. After doing rounds for about two and a half minutes, she was tired and again sat down on the chair. She was wasting time. Following a cricket's sound. HUH!. Grow up!
Smiling bitterly, she leaned back on the chair and closed her eyes. It was such a hectic day, but a relaxing end. She will actually be able to rest now. Yawning, she opened her eyes and looked at her bed with longing eyes. A warm bed in chilled January ' nothing a person could wish more for. She glanced at the clock, it was late.
Shrugging she got up and adjusting the curtains of her room, and she came back to her chair and grabbed her medicine bottle again. Shaking the bottle showed that it was enough dose for tonight.
Quickly dripping tablets on her palm, she counted them.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6 ,7, 8, 9
9 tablets?
They were less. Last time 9 didn't effect, it had to be at least 15 this time.
She shook the bottle again and a few tablets fell on the already huge pile on her palm, and she counted again.
This time it was 15. Smiling contently she stuffed her mouth with them and gulped down water. It was only practice that she managed to gulp down 15 tablets in a go. Making sure each and every tablet was pushed down her throat; she got up from her chair and lethargically got into bed.

"Doctor, my daughter wants to die!"
Sashi bhushan said helplessly to the fairly disinterested man who was playing with his baseball.
"so how can I help you?, you want me to provide her sleeping pills or a rope?', he left his baseball and looked at Sashi Bhushan very intently.
"you think it all as a joke?,. My child wants to die!!"
"then let her die!!",
Mayank Sharma shouted at the top of his voice and left the room in quick strides.

It was late and she should sleep. Nupur closed her eyes wishing tonight she would get the deep sleep she wished for.
She looked around in her room aimlessly. The room was dimply lit by the moonlight. It was fairly dark, but still silhouette of things was visible, even the caption of her medicine was readable '
