Why Vidya but not Tabu?

Simple : Tabu didnot want to be a commercial actress, more likely a star. Vidya is smart, she knows how to balance it off and even her serious films like TDP and Ishqiya had so much of desi tarka in it, who can forget "ibn-e-batota" and "oo laa la" these songs were being sung by all during there releases, tabu never had any such thing. Her movies were serious and most of the times slow paced, testing your patience. I (as an audience spending money on a movie ticket) would never go watch a movie with no tarka as you guys call it, and vidya's movies have had it, tabu's didnot!

nonetheless, tabu is a better actor, no doubts and she has been successful in what she wanted from herself.

P.S : she did turn down rani's role in KANK and lara's in BILLU, it simply means that she doesnot want that stardom or fame or commercial success, she is happy with what she got!

Vidya doesn't have many flops or bad film to her credit to tell you the truth, Heyy Babyy even though she was bashed alot the film was a Superhit at the BO. and KK did an above average business. I've always liked Vidya never seen a bad film from her maybe average, and I actually enjoyed Heyy Babyy I wasn't noticing her bad acting at all I watched the film over 30 times and can't get enough of it, it's far from a perfect film but it was a good entertainer and doesn't bore you to death. KK was just an average film to me.
