Arjun is wrong

It is very predictable that Arjun is fall for Purvi. But my question is, why is he misleading Ovi? On the one hand, he tells DK he can't cheat or mislead Ovi and therefore would not get into a relationship with her. On the other hand, he tells the other dude who was misbehaving with Ovi that they were getting engaged. Knowing that Ovi is madly in love with him, why is he misleading her when he clearly has no feelings for her? His excuse for not getting into a relationship with her was that he is too busy and will not have time for her. But that's clearly not the reason. The real reason is that he doesn't have feelings for her, so why give her false reasons as if he likes her but will not have time for her. Poor Ovi...
