it made money through sattelite rights and other intangibles!

on its theatrical run, it got road stomped on by delhi belly and flopped badly! must've hurt BIG B's big ego rather badly!

Theatrically itself it made 17cr or so. Budget was 10cr. Just cos DB made more money doesn't automatically turn BTHB into a flop, does it? 😛

Especially when trade analysts and national newspapers are calling it successful/hit! 😃

Hits dunt fall from a tree like that. Making profits does not equal being a hit. Every modest budget film makes "profits" these days. Aisha, BKB, AA made profits too..but they are not considered "hits". Hits need to do well theatrically.
BHTP made profits only through satellite rights and non-theatrical avenues. Theatrically, its a flop.

15 cr was budget and the ended at break-even from cinema halls and rest of the profit got from satellites rights told by taran aadrash and sr bachahan nod his head on taran aadarsh information on twitter...every body was expecting film to be low investment and high return like a multibagger ...but it didn;t happened
