TOI: Sanjay Sonus conflict on eviction

The three judges on Sony TV's X Factor India — Sonu Nigam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shreya Ghoshal judged in harmony till the latest elimination that was shot recently.

Sonu's decision to eliminate his own team member Piyush drew him flak followed by an argument of sorts with co-judge Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Amit and Piyush were in the bottom two and were pitted against each other in the face off round. Apparently, Piyush who has had a satisfactory track record so far on the show was thumbed down by his own mentor Sonu Nigam as the latter felt that he wasn't upto the mark in the face off round.

He chose Amit over Piyush. Sonu said that he would not be biased be it his own team member. Shreya also voted for Amit, which automatically eliminated Piyush from the competition. However, Shreya was unhappy with Sonu's decision as she felt that Piyush had what X Factor demands. But the most upset was Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the decision taken by Sonu and Shreya. He asked them to take a look at the person's pervious track record and then make a decision. Sanjay was expecting Piyush to win the title. Sonu later apologised to Piyush saying that he couldn't stand by his own students but maintained that he could not have given a dishonest opinion about him.

And what past performance?Piyush can only sing songs that involves shouting..

Rightly shovon was eliminated. he was off key throughout the song. Sahiti was in tune whatever bit she sang. So, it was justified.

Lot of emotions.. do not worry..After winning such low standard shows all that people achieve is getting a role in Comedy Circus and start cross dressing.. If you are a Piyush Fan (which is evident from so much anger, cry and frustration) be happy that he got saved and atleast now has a chance to do something in music (though I strongly trust he would soon disappear and survive in his Lucknow band).
