After the speculated super-imposed pictures of Mallika Sherawat in the company of President Barrack Obama, Scarlett Johanson and Elton John, the actress seems to be having a tough time relating to her Bollywood co-stars.
And Indra Kumar's Double Dhamaal cast, which includes Kangna Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi, can certainly vouch for the same. Despite alienating herself from the rest of the film's cast, Mallika reportedly envied Kangna's relationship with the rest of the male troop.
The actress took her alienating antics to another level, while in Toronto, at a recent awards function, during the showcase of Double Dhamaal's world premiere. It was supposed to be an important event for the team of the comedic sequel to the 2007 film Dhamaal, but Mallika did not echo similar sentiments.
Reportedly, Kangna, Riteish, Aashish Chaudhary and Mallika walked the green carpet and were then supposed to proceed to one of the seven screening rooms. However, after Mallika walked down the green carpet, she decided to bail on the screening. And to everyones' dismay, nobody could trace her.
A source told us, "Indra was very perturbed by the incident and went around looking for Mallika. He kept calling out 'Mallikaji'. But when Riteish heard this, he told the director 'You are giving so much of respect, but she's already gone'."
When contacted, Kumar confirmed, "Yes, it's true Mallika was not present, but I do not know why she chose to leave."
Meanwhile…
Director Indra Kumar is already gearing up for his next endeavours. He is currently chalking out the third follow-up to the Dhamaal series, titled, Total Dhamaal. While the male actors of the series stay the same, Kumar is searching for new actresses. When asked if Mallika will be considered again, Kumar said, "If she is the right fit for the role, then yes."
Kumar is also plans for the sequel to his 2004 film, Masti.
