What ails MKAP ??
I have been watching MKAP from a long time but the texture of MKAP seems to have undergone 180 degree change during the past couple of days..Gone are those edginess that kept us on tenterhooks, The hard hitting dialogues have vanished to be replaced in most part by inanities..The intensity has completely vanished ...Have the PH completely changed the blueprint of MKAP ..
Here is a couples dealing with betrayal and trust ...Instead of dealing with it sensitively , maturely ..they have trivialized such a serious issue in to a farce ...It is like a slap on viewer's who had expected the situation's to be handled with care and with respect...but we are getting to see charades that too dumbest charades put on for our display and the Cv's inform us that this is being done by poor love lorn Krishna who is desperate to have his wife back ...Dear God !! Is this Krishna ...where is that Krishna who went on quiet reflection to jhoosy hills?? where is that Krishna who spoke quietly and with dignity about Trust ? Where is that Krishna who resolved to be an upstanding citizen on seeing Pratigya in the hospital ?? where is that Krishna who understood Pratigya's slightest shake of head and did not need any verbal ?? ...I can excuse Krishna's first attempt bec he really did not know how Pratigya would react to the public proclamation , but he got his answer when she walked out in the middle of his performance ...Knowing that the said proclamation only roused her temper to higher degree, he again willingly embarks on another public venture by photo printing the tees and hanging it over all the places and that too in a commercial street ..Where has the smart, perceptive Krishna Gone ...Agree that Krishna is a change in the happening ..and has not fully changed ..but he has undergone some slight changes , why is that change not reflected here .. Why have the Cv's taken him back to the starting point and are showing him indulging in silly tricks ..Are the Cv's so desperate to show that without Pratigya or without a woman..Man reverts back to basic, that a man needs a woman to grow, to mature !!...Not acceptable at all !!
Pratigya is a woman who is hurt by her Husband's callous disregard of her views , his lack of trust ..her pain has to be inward , her sense of betrayal too vast to be contemplated ...and yet what comes across is a stubborn woman who is crossing the boundary of reasonableness , A peevish woman who is annoyed by her man's antics ...A blind woman who is unable to see the wood for trees ..A arrogant woman who thinks she is right and discards her father's counsel ...what one feels on Pratigya of today is that of a woman who is having the upper hand and making full use of it ...I am sure this was not the intention of the CV's at All ... why is her pain, slight to her dignity made light of ?? ..Where is that Pratigya who understood her Krishna ?? Where is that Pratigya who advised Kesar to be alert and yet give a second chance to Shakthi ?? Where is that innate compassion , her underlying gentleness ?? Where is that Pratigya who said that Krishna is unique , a naive child ??
The Cv's severely blundered in showing this two characters ..Agree that the TRP's are important and also accept that it is romance that brings in TRP's..but why such silly ones...and why now ?..Let them reunite ...and then show some romance ..both breezy and light ones... will make for good and pleasurable viewing while this wooing only brings on why , Krishna, Why ?? ..Or is the intention of CV's to take a still angry, still venting Pratigya to Haveli and spike her jealous streak seeing Krishna - Ganga interaction ..Lets hope that CV's do not think of such predictable track ..
Earlier on I had said that the reason MKAP flounders is bec it takes itself seriously ..I would like to amend that ..there are some tracks which needs to be handled with due seriousness, sensitivity, maturity and there are tracks which has to be given the light touches building to seriousness gradually or ending in light hearted way itself...the current track belongs to the former ..and the Cv's by taking the latter route have just displayed a crass insensitivity
