i am unable to understand...why never heard abt this unsung heroine of india in history...

they say she protected the temple against mohd ghazni...but wht i read tht he destroyed the temple...

can someone tell me...the details abt all this shobha and her life in history

shobha is myth of gujrat...gujrati folk says shobha died in try to save somnath..at last on 1026 mahmud destroyed it...

Yeah even i have not heard of Shobha. I have a novel on somnath temple written by KM Munshi. Shall read it and give more details. I think there was a king called bhimdev who played an important role in fighting ghazni mahmud.

nai re main pad rahi thi...bhimdev ka nam mila mujhe but shobha ka nhi...she is myth i think...

I too have not heard of Shobha. But if they have made a show on it, there must be some sort of truth associated with it. I too am trying to get some info on her. If i can will post it.

the Mandir was looted many times, i have not heard of her, my dad read the book called Somnath, anyone who has read it, can you please give an overview of it?

actually ghazni had invaded the india 14 times and he tried to destroy this temple many times but a t last he destroyed it i thinksobha protected temple from his invasion for sometimes and at last she dued

Is Bhimdev the same king of Gujrat who was killed by Prithviraj Chauhan?? Is this anyhow related... mahmud ghazni was also killed by PRC after he blinded him n all...but not sure...

Must be related somehow...

no this bhimdev is bhimdev 1 and prc bhimdev is bhimdev 2...
