KHURANA CONSTRUCTIONS

Geet is standing at the reception of Khurana Constructions. A grumpy lady in her 40s is sitting on the receptionist's chair.

Geet says to her sweetly "Excuse me, can I meet Mr. Maan Singh Khurana."

"Do you have an appointment?" she asks geet in a mechanical voice.

"Uh'..no but actually---"

"Sorry, you cant meet him without an appointment."

Geet looked at her in frustration but fakes a little laugh and says "Oh I think you got me wrong. I do have an appointment."

The receptionist looks at geet from under her glasses.

And geet continues "I have an appointment with him at 10.30" she finished with a smile.

"What's your name?" she asks in the same grumpy voice.

"Geet."

She checks her computer and says "he doesn't have any appointment at 10.30"

Geet says with confidence "How is it possible! You must be mistaken, please check it properly."

"The only appointment he has is at 11 o'clock with Mr. Chopra."

Geet says confidently "Yeah, that is the one. Mr. Chopra is my dad. Actually he couldn't make it, so I came in his place. Sorry I might have heard the time wrong." She finishes with a smile.

The lady gives geet a doubtful look but geet smiles at her confidently. So the receptionist called her boss.

"Sir, Mr. Chopra couldn't make for the meeting, but he send his daughter instead."

Her boss said something on the other end and the lady hangs up after saying "OK Sir."

The lady looks at geet and says "Sir said he will see you in the conference hall." She calls the peon and asks hum to take geet to the conference hall.

Geet smiles inwardly at her successful plan.

GEET'S POINT OF VIEW

I am standing in the conference hall waiting for Maan Singh Khurana. It is a very big room. Infact the whole office is very big. It looks like he is super rich.

I don't know much about Mumbai, but in London 18-storey office means a lot. Maybe it is normal in india to have big offices. But 18 storey office!!!

What if someday escalator doesn't work!! I smile inwardly thinking about the hilarious sight of people crawling at stairs trying to go to the top floor!!

Okay. I know my mind is blabbering, but I'm bored. How long do I have to wait before that Maan Singh Khurana shows up!

Maan Singh Khurana'what an unusual name. I have never heard this kind of name before. His name sounds like he is some khadoos!! And Anjali also said he is very arrogant man. Oh well! Who cares!!!

I'm just here to make him come to the show as a chief guest and then probably I wont see him ever in my life again.

I remembered the face of the receptionist when I told her that...what was that name? yeah Mr. Chopra right?...he is my father. I chuckles inwardly.

I would love to see her expression when real Mr. Chopra would show up.

"Miss. Chopra." I heard a voice from behind me.

MAAN'S POINT OF VIEW

The receptionist told me that Mr. Chopra couldn't make for the meeting and he sent his daughter for it! I'm so annoyed!!

How can he be so irresponsible? What does his daughter know about our deal!!

I am not gonna take this kind of behavior. I hate when people don't respect other people's time and money.

His daughter is waiting in the conference hall. I would have told the receptionist to ask her that I don't have time to meet her. That I would fix another date for the meeting when Mr. Chopra has this much etiquette to show up for the meeting!

But that would have been really rude. Afterall, I have very good business relations with Mr. Chopra since so many years. I'll tell her personally that I'm calling off the meeting.

I see her standing in the conference hall with her back towards me. She is wearing a yellow short skirt. She's got great legs!! Hmmm...

And she looks towards me.

Maan looks at her awestruck by her beauty. He has dated a lot of pretty girls in his life, but she'she is the prettiest of all. He has never seen a girl so beautiful in his whole life.

The first thought that came to his mind was 'I gotta have her!'

He looked at her from top to bottom and then back to top. She is not only pretty, she's got a great body too...

He looks into her eyes. Those beautiful big deep hazel brown eyes. He felt like he is drowning in those eyes.

Those eyes were looking at him in the same awestruck expression that was in his own eyes.

Geet looked back and saw the most handsome guy standing in front of her. And he was looking at her.

Geet didn't knew what she was doing. She absentmindedly started walking towards him. Her foot stuck into the chair, and she lost her balance.

Geet closed her eyes in horror.

She thought that the next second when she would open her eyes, she would have fallen flat on the ground.

But she felt two strong arms holding her. She opens her eyes slowly and found the most handsome face few inches away from her own and she was in his arms in a half fallen position.

The fall has broken geet's trance but maan was still under the spell of her beauty. He saved her from falling as a reflex of movement but he was still staring into those deep beautiful eyes.

His eyes moved from her eyes to her lips. She had pink lip gloss on and had the most kissable lips.

He slowly bends down his face towards her while still under her spell.

Geet saw his face moving towards her face. She saw his eyes getting closed when he was few centimeters away from her lips. And she realized that this stranger was bending towards her to KISS her!!!!

Her eyes widened, and she shouts "Woah!! Get away from me dude!" she tries to wriggle to get away from him.

But she doesn't have to do much as his trance broke with her words and he make her stand on her feet instantly.

Geet looks at him in shock and he smiles at her shamelessly.

And then they both realized why they are here.

"Uhh...Miss Chopra. I---" Maan starts but geet cuts him in between and says

"Handa. Geet Handa."

Maan is confused and he says "Handa? But the receptionist told me that..."

"Oh, I lied to your receptionist." She said casually.

Maan looks at her surprised.

"Why?"

"Because she wasn't letting me to see you without an appointment." She said without any regret.

"And she was right. I don't meet anyone without an appointment."

And he was about to leave but geet calls him from back.

"Mr. Khurana. Please. Mera aapse baat karna bohat zaroori hai." [its very important for me to talk to u]

Maan looks back at her and just stands there folding his arms on his chest.

"Look Mr. Khurana, all I'm asking for is just one evening. If you wont come, everything's gonna be ruined." She said sweetly.

Geet didn't realize what she has just said and that her words were ambiguous.

Maan looks at her unbelievably and misunderstood her words. He picks up his eyebrows and looks at her from top to bottom.

Geet saw him checking her out and she felt uncomfortable from his stare.

He says "Uh... 'geet' right?" and geet nods.

He smiles at her and says "Alright geet. How about 9 o'clock at Merlin's Bar?"

Geet is confused "Excuse me? But the show starts at 6" she said innocently.

Now it was maan's turn to get confused.

"Show??" and then he realized something and say "Ohhh, so you work for an escort agency?"

{ok guys, I didn't knew the meaning of escort agency so I'm presuming if anyone doesn't know the meaning like me, let me save u from looking up in a dictionary. Its an agency which delivers call girls}

"Excuse me??" geet couldn't understand what he was talking about but smiled anyways so that she wont look dumb.

But maan continues "But you don't look like a call girl!! I mean not that there's something wrong with that..."

Geet says smiling "Oh that's because---" and she stops abruptly as she realized what he has just said and her eyes widened due to shock, and she almost screams.

"Whattt???!!! What did you just call me????" she asks him angrily.

Maan was a little taken aback by her sudden anger.

"Ummm...call girl?!" he said doubtfully.

"Whatt!!...You!!...I...!!" geet couldn't find right words to say because of her anger.

And atlast she said "How dare you??"

Maan still couldn't understand the reason for her sudden outburst.

"I'm sorry. Uh...would you like some other term??" he asks innocently.

"Hell no!!! I mean yes!!" she closed her eyes frustrated and said " I mean, I'm not a call girl!!!"

Now maan was surprised at himself. He realized that he might have misunderstood her words, and thought that he owe her an apology for being rude...

"I'm very sorry Miss Geet. I think I misunderstood you. But didn't you said you needed an evening with me??"

"Yeah...I mean no...tsk! I mean I needed your evening professionally, not personally" she makes a disgusted face at the word 'personally'.

Maan understood his mistake. "Ummm...i'm really sorry miss geet. It was my fault. Lets start it all over. Please have a seat."

Geet was still angry with him but she cooled down a little with his gentleman manners and she realized that she has come here for some important work. That tonights show depended upon her now.

So she sat down.

Maan took a seat in front of her and asks "so tell me miss geet, what brought you here??"

"Umm... actually, I'm from Khurana Arts." Geet didn't want to take any chances, so she decided to start from the beginning.

"and we have a show tonight where you promised to be a chief guest. And now you cancelled at the last minute Mr. Khurana, which---"

Maan cuts her in between and says "Maan. Call me Maan."

Geet looks at him bit uncomfortable by his look and paused for few moments and then start again "So I was saying... Umm...we cant have a show without a chief guest." She left it at that and looks at him to reply.

She was expecting him to either say yes or say no, but his reply totally shocked her as he said "so you work at Khurana Arts? I know all the girls over there personally, but I've never seen you there before!"

Geet looks at him in disgust realizing the meaning of 'personally', but instead of saying something sarcastic, she decided to answer his question as she needed his approval for the show.

"Umm...I just started couple of days ago...so what do you say??" geet didn't want to go astray from the topic.

"Hmmm. Actually geet...can I call you geet?" geet nods. And he smiles and continues "I have a very important business meeting in the evening."

"But Mr. Khurana..."

"I told you to call me Maan" he smiles at her.

Geet gave up to be nice and says "Fine! Maan" she stresses the word Maan "you cant just back off at the last moment. Where are we gonna get another chief guest at such a short notice? In every business, a man's word is most important. We trusted you when you gave us the word. And now you are ditching us!! What kind of a man are you??!!"

She saw him looking at her intensely and she gets uncomfortable from his look.

"You didn't let me finish geet. I said I have an important meeting in the evening, but I can cancel that."

"Oh" geet said with a slight smile

"But on one condition" he smiles at her.

"Condition??" the smile vanished instantly.

"Yes. I will come to the show as a chief guest, if you'll go on dinner with me after the show."

Geet looks at him shocked and thought in her mind 'does he even have any shame? What does he think that I, Geet Handa, will go on a date with him!! He, who has just tried to kiss me 10 minutes ago, and then called me a call girl, and now putting a condition to show up on the show that he himself has promised before to come!! What a loser!!!'

"So, will you go??" he asked her again.

"Yes" she replied...

n i just want to say that i wont b able to update it soon now bcoz im really emotionally disturbed after watching the new promo😭😭 im updating this part just because i had already written it...but ill pm everybody whenever ill be in the rite state of mind to write again😭😭
