KHURANA ARTS: SHOW TIME!!!!
It is a houseful show, as always. Everybody was running here and there before the show doing the last minute preparations. It was a really stressful sight to watch.
Geet was working for such a big live show for the first time.
And then at last it was time!!
It was 5 minutes left to start the show.
Everybody was very excited.
And then some guy came and told everybody that the chief guest is here!
Vicky started going outside to receive him when he realised that geet has also started coming behind him.
He hadn't thought much about this moment so he turns around and say to her "geet, could you please check if all the lighting is ok. One last time."
Geet was surprised and she said "but we have checked it 3 times already!"
"Could you check it one last time please?"
"But we checked it 5 minutes ago!!"
Geet couldn't understand why Vicky was asking her to check the lights when she didn't know anything about lighting.
Vicky broke her flow of thoughts and said "Ok. So could you check if the dresses are ok?"
"Vicky whats wrong with you?" she was confused "everybody is already dressed up. And we have done dress rehearsals like 100 times. So ofcourse dresses are ok!!"
Vicky was getting out of excuses but he tried one last time "Could you stay backstage and make sure if any actor needs anything during the show."
"But Vivek, Maya, and Kunal are already there for that!" now she was getting irritated.
Vicky lost his temper and said angrily "Geet, if you want to work at Khurana Arts, you have to do as I say. And when I'm saying you will stay back stage, that means you will stay back stage!"
Geet looks at him angrily and goes inside cursing him under her breath.
"Stupid, idiot, gadha, ullu. Apne aap ko samjhta kya hai?? Aaj tak kissi ki himmat nahin hui, ke woh Geet Handa par is tarah hokum chalaaye! Boss hai to kya hua!! Kuch bhi bolega kya!!!?" she keeps on taking out her anger while cursing him. [what does he think of himself? Nobody has ever dared to order geet handa like this! So what if he's the boss? How can he say anything!!!???]
The people backstage looks at her and wonders why is she so mad.
OUTSIDE
Vicky welcomes maan and makes him sit on the VIP seat and then the show starts...
BACKSTAGE
"What happened geet?" maya asks geet seeing her angry and talking to herself.
"Vicky slash ( / ) I'm-the-boss happened! I don't know what he thinks of himself!!" geet said angrily.
"But hua kya?" maya asked again. [what happened]
"I was going outside, but he didn't let me go. He was like 'I'm your boss. And you will do whatever I say!'" geet mimics him and says angrily "Idiot!!!"
Maya and vivek looks at each other knowingly which was not missed by geet.
Geet said "What??"
Vivek says "Geet, its Maan."
Geet was confused.
She asks "Maan? What about him?"
"Geet maybe you don't know this, but Vicky and Maan are brothers."
Geet was surprised. She didn't let him finish and asks "Whattt!? Vicky and Maan are brothers??"
"Yes. But they don't get along well. Infact, they cant even stand each other. Vicky doesn't approve of Maan's lifestyle. He doesn't like the way Maan treats girls. You wouldn't find a single pretty girl in this town, that Maan hasn't broken the heart of. So Vicky is just trying to protect you. He tries to protect every new girl in our crew, but try as he may, girls always allure themselves to Maan's handsome looks and then are left heartbroken by him. Vicky is just trying to keep you away from Maan's sight. That's all." He finishes.
"But I have---" geet tries to say something but Vivek cuts her in between and says
"Geet please. Don't go outside. It is for your own benefit." Vivek and Maya left her standing there alone.
OUTSIDE
The show finishes with a standing ovation from the audience.
Vicky goes to Maan and says "So bro, how did you like the show?"
"Good as usual." Maan said while looking around as if looking for someone.
Vicky saw him looking around and asks "Maan, Are you looking for someone ?"
"Yeah, I'm looking for Geet."
Vicky looks at him shocked. He thought he might have heard wrong.
So he asks "Who bro?"
Maan looks at him "Geet. You must know her. She works at Khurana Arts."
Vicky asks suspiciously "How do you know geet?"
"She came to my office in the morning. I have a date with her." Maan winks at Vicky mischievously.
Vicky was taken aback.
"So could you call her. I'm getting late." Maan finishes while looking at his watch.
Vicky couldn't decide whether he should lie and tell him that geet's not here or tell him the truth and show him to her.
At last he decides to talk to geet first before saying anything.
So he says "I'll just be back."
And he goes back stage angrily.
He shouts "Geet!!"
Everybody looks towards him.
He goes towards geet and holds her arm angrily and asks "Did you go to Maan's office in the morning?"
"Yes, but---"
He didn't let her finish and says "Geet, why did you go there?"
Geet tries to free her arm from his hand and says "Leave my hand Vicky. You are hurting me!"
Vicky realises that he was holding her hand a little too hard and leaves it instantly. But his anger hasn't cooled down and he asks angrily
"geet, did you fix a date with Maan for tonight?"
"Yes but..." now geet's temper has also started to rise
But Vicky didn't let her finish again and says
"How could you geet?! What do you know about him? I'm trying everything over here so that he wont see you, and you have already done the damage by taking maybe the worst decision of your life!"
Now geet had had enough.
She says angrily "Mr. Vicky Khurana. You are not my father to decide whats right for me and whats not. It is my life, and I haven't given you the right to interfere in it. If I want to go on a date with someone, it is gonna be my decision. You get that?"
Vicky says angrily "Fine!! Do whatever you want!! But don't come crying when he'll break your heart!" and he leaves.
Geet goes out angrily and sees Maan waiting for her at the door.
"Hi beautiful." He says with a smile.
"Hello." Geet replies casually.
"Shall we?" he asks offering his hand out to her.
"Excuse me?" she asks him faking innocence. "Where are we going?"
"Dinner!" he says not understanding what geet meant.
"And why do you think I'll go to dinner with you?" she asks him angrily.
Geet didn't wanted to be such a bitchh with this almost unknown handsome guy, neither she has decided to behave like this. She has thought that she will tell him nicely. But. But Vicky has already left her with a high temper. So she took out her anger on Maan.
Maan looks at her confused and says "because you promised to."
"Look who's talking! Who has broken the promises himself!" geet looks at his confused expression and continues "Why, haven't you yourself broken the promise of attending this show when you cancelled on us?"
Now Maan understood what was going on. She has lied to him. She has used him to come to this show.
"You used me?" he asks angrily.
"I've just given you the taste of your own medicine. What did you thought? I'll go out with you?"
Maan closes his fist in anger and glares at geet angrily.
"Well Mr. Maan Singh Khurana, I don't date losers and I haven't seen a bigger loser than you." She laughs mockingly.
Maan just glares at her angrily. All his self control is being used to stop himself from hitting something hard.
No one has ever dared to talk to him like this. How dare she call him a loser!! He, the Maan Singh Khurana, the richest man in Mumbai, whom girls feel lucky to be seen with, is getting insulted by this nobody.
Geet didn't care if he was glowering at her angrily. She was taking out all her anger and frustration of the morning meeting out on him. She couldn't say anything in the morning because she needed his approval for the show. But now the show is over!
She laughs mockingly again and said "Trying to get a date by conditions!! Well next time, try to get a date on your own, and not by blackmailing someone!"
Maan had had enough. He helds her arms and jerks her towards him.
He looks angrily into her eyes and says "how dare you geet? How dare you call me a loser??"
Geet looks back into his eyes and says "Oh yeah!! Watch me!"
She tries to free herself from his hold but he was way too strong for her.
"Leave me Maan!!" she wriggles in his hold.
Instead of leaving her, Maan holds her both hands in his one hand, and with his free hand, he holds her waist and pulls her more closer towards him.
Now geet's face was mere inches away from his and he says with an evil smile.
"What if I don't!"
"Maan leave me or else" geet threatens him angrily.
Geet saw his eyes moving from her eyes to her lips and again to her eyes.
"Or else?" he asked in a husky voice.
Geet narrowed her eyes and stumps her heels on his foot squeezing his foot harshly with her heels.
"Ooowww!!!" he cried in pain and leaves her instantly.
Geet smiles at him victoriously.
Maan holds her arm angrily and says "You stupid woman!! How dare you?"
"Whats going on here?" they heard a voice and they looked towards their side and saw Vicky standing at the door with shock on his face.
He walks towards the duo and asks Maan, who is still holding Geet's arm "What are you doing Maan?"
Vicky looks at maan's hand which was holding geet and says "Leave her Maan!"
Maan looks angrily at geet and pushes her away with a jerk.
Geet glares back at Maan and Maan says to geet "saara shehar jaanta hai, ke Maan Singh Khurana, na to apni beizzitti bhoolta hai, aur na hi kisi ko bhoolne deta hai. You are so gonna pay for this Miss. Geet Handa!" [the whole city knows, that msk never forgets his insult, and nither he lets anyone else forgets it]
"Aisi geedar dhamkiyan maine bohat suni hain"[i've heard these kinds of threats alot]
"No Miss Geet Handa. Yeh dhamki nahin, chetaavani hai." He snaps his fingers in front of her face and show her the forfinger [chutki]
Geet picks up both her hands up in the air and fakes she is scared and said sarcastically "ooohh! I'm scared."
She rolls her eyes on him and goes, leaving him standing there while Vicky watching the whole scene silently.
Maan says to himself with serious intensity "You better be scared, Geet Handa!! Kiyunki Maan Singh Khurana kab kahaan se vaar karta hai, yeh to khud bhagwaan bhi nahin bataa sakta. You have messed with the wrong person Miss Geet Handa."
