It's a sad day all around on MKAP. There is irony, ceremony, agony, some phony, acrimony, incony, stony, and a dash of harmony and disharmony.
STONY:
SS comes down the stairs to the situation room and directs Kesar with the sleeping arrangements for Takurain in the corner of the hallway. How symbolic of SS coming down, signifying how low he has stooped in his treatment of his wife. SS may be shunning Takurain for two reasons'' for keeping him out of the loop when she plotted to get rid of Prats and succeeded where his plans in the past have failed? Or is he punishing her ruining his pooja for peace in the family with her self-immolation after he specifically told her not to mess it up. In the process Prats had proved to the whole family that SDS was behind the switcheroo of the kalas with kerosene.
IRONY:
Takurain sarcastically reminds SS she is honored at the way he's tossed his wife out of his room in her condition, it's something to be happy indeed, after all she is his wife. When SDS question his motives for treating her this way, SS chides her and tells her he considers himself unlucky to live with her as her husband and directs her to return to her corner and rest. SDS wanted SS to love her the way Krishna loves Prats instead he banishes her to her corner and tells her to stay put like a church mouse just the way she got Krishna to banish Prats from his life.
INCONY:
KN enters just then and SDS pleads with him to lend her a hand to get to her corner cot. KN instead asks her if she is now incapable of moving around the house on her own. He tells her to get to her corner on her own steam for he is about to have a meal and will have to wash his hands with soap if he touched her. But wouldn't he wash his hands anyways? The cruelty she has shown to members of this family is now being reflected back to her. SS and KN are holding a mirror to Takurain about the vicious person she always is and that's the treatment she is getting from her husband and firstborn now. She mumbles to herself in a pitiful voice "I raised him to be the man he is today and he says touching me now he has to wash his hands? She is getting a rude awakening from the other RED about where their loyalties lie. How cruel can they be? Her actions have finally come home to roost. Her payback for her gatiya acts over the years are now coming to maturity and returned to her with interest.
HARMONY:
Kesar and GD are horrified at SS's treatment of SDS but don't care or dare to say a word in rebuttal. GD knows SDS has brought this upon herself. GD and Kesar are indeed a pair of silent observers. This Cagney and Lacey team knows so much that could blow RED out of the water by just telling Krishna a few simple truths. They seem content just gathering and filing away valuable information for now. Truth be told, Takurain does stink in the way she treats people with contempt and not a kind word for anyone unless she has an ulterior motive and when she does it's fake. This is nothing new with her. Even before she lit herself up like a firecracker on Diwali night, Takurain always acts of her own free will, one forced or coerced her into her gatiya behaviors. If anything she often instigated SS to do something to split Kriya. Today she got her way but at what price?
ACRIMONY:
Piasiya serves water at Takurain's requests but holds her nose while doing so. An enraged SDS demands the maid handle her stench. It's one thing to have to face the disgust from family members quite another for her to take it from the hired help. She takes the glass Piaisya offers and intentionally drops it on the floor. She then orders Piasiya to clean up the mess, her vindictive nature shining through as the family watches silently. We may yet be seeing a lot of petty acts of defiance and rebellion from SDS as she wages war against SS by acting out much like the way Krishna does when things don't go his way or he is rejected. Will she in her zest to push back at the way her family treats her go so far as to get vicious in her behavior that may expose her pettiness and finally open Krishna's eyes to what his mother's capable of doing when she's inspired to make her point. After all the Takurain may try to be over-cautious in Krishna's presence and expose her duplicitous behavior to Krishna. SS for one is silently relishing Piasiya's mistreatment of SDS. It's not just Krishna's marriage that's on the rocks. The deep cracks are starting to show in SS/SDS's marriage. The silent freeloading spectator is waiting in the wings ready to step in as stand-by bride for SS. She is listening in and is privy to some of the issues of contention between the Takur couple. She may not be too long before we see her time it right and walk up to SS draped in the yellow saree he chose that SDS rejected.
AGONY:
Naina cajoles Prats to come and have a bite to eat but she turns down the offer. Arusi arrives and informs the two ladies it's useless talking to Krishna, he doesn't want to ever talk about Prats anymore. So does that mean Prats is going to add hunger strike to her mauna vrath now🤔. Arusi tells them after talking to K she is convinced SDS has poisoned his mind that he's made it clear he doesn't want to return to Prats's life. Prats silently weeps suppressing her grief. So much faith in Krishna's love and it all seems misplaced at the moment. Is she beginning to question herself, her faith, her trust and all that she believes after hearing Arusi's prognosis on her future with Krishna? Will this be the rebirth of Prats, not a guillilbe girl anymore but one who stands up for more than just moral principles? Now that will be a welcome change, so she doesn't tolerate Krishna's immature behavior anymore. Krishna is venting and letting it all hang out. Prats on the other hand is gone all quiet and internalizing her pain.
GLUTTONY:
Back at Nautanki Niwas, it's dinner time'..again. Do they do anything but gather around for meals these days? KN comes home like he's had a busy day. What was he doing? Being errand boy for Raade or back at baloo business to work for the Rs. 20,000/= SS gave him to start a business?😛 SS orders Kesar to serve SDS her meal in her kitty corner. SS seems to be hell bent on treating her like a pariah, paying attention to every little detail and leaving nothing to chance. Takurain wants to join the family at the dinner table but SS and KN both override her choice saying they just can't hold their noses and eat at the same time. KN wants no hinderance when he intends to stuff his face. How rude! Especially coming from KN who has had many a drunken night by Kesar's side and he never let her get away from his stinking presence either.🤪
DISHARMONY:
Krishna marches into the house headed straight for his room, but pauses to question his mother's teary presence. She confesses that her family doesn't want to share a meal with her today. As true as her claims are, one cannot help but wonder if she is just trying to earn some sympathy from the only other mard in the family who is left to give her a care at the moment. Takurain sheds sad tears and how ironic is it that she thought she was going to rejoice in ousting Prats from her family and the same family is knowingly or unknowingly returning the favor to her with interest, making her weep the same way she has caused Prats to weep across town. Will this experience once and for all teach her a universal truth about life >>>> that what you give to others will come back to you multiplied?🤓
PHONY:
SDS plays the emotional game with Krishna supporting her. Interesting isn't it he is questioning and writing off SS's behavior towards SDS as useless for rejecting his wife all this after he, Krishna has rejected his wife. Live and learn Baba! The more he falls into SDS's trap the more he is going to be tortured for not seeing the signs and refusing to trust Prats when the truth about her sinister plots come to light. He attempts to feed SDS but she wants to feed him first. Flashbacks of feeding Prats plague his mind and he excuses himself'.his appetite gone and heads to his room where he's got more memories waiting for him.
MOONY:
He enters his room only to be plagued by more memories''.of Arusi telling him "I also know you love my sister very much and before it's too late please face the truth and know what that is" followed by images of Prats declaring her love for him SAAT times the night before his birthday. His anger resurfaces as he mutters in his mind "I don't love you, why can't you let me live in peace, too much has happened and today I will end it all, be rid of your memories and destroy every one of them. He gathers her belongings but not before he spots a couple of Prats's photographs (wonder who took them???) and is tortured even more looking at it before he throws it down in anger and heads to the terrace with the bundle in hand. He is haunted as memories keep piling on once he is up there, another memory of him telling Prats "there is no one like my Babu in this world, truth is I am the luckiest man to be your husband" and remembers Prats response "I am also very lucky that I got a husband like you who loves me so much". He decides he's going to be rid of every image, memory from his mind and heart. How true is it when they say anger is blinding. So Krishna chose the terrace to burn tangible memories of Prats? Trouble is there are memories he has created with her on that terrace that he can't wipe out so easily either. Memories are like a bottomless ocean, the more you scoop the more new ones pop up. His resistance to memories of her only enhances his pain.
CEREMONY:
He finds a lit lamp on the terrace and lights her belongings, the burn in his heart still surpassing the burning bundle of Prats's possessions. Bewakoof Baba the things you can burn tangible memory of Prats you can get your hand on and that would include just about everything in the Niwas particularly your room, they are replaceable But can you scorch the memories and images of Prats etched in your brain? His choice of the terrace to erase all memories of Prats is self-defeating. His mind now coughs up more memories created on that terrace he'd rather forget. Why does the terrace look like a pooja room tonight with unused candles, a lighted lamp all on hand for his use? He lights a candle and drips hot wax on the Pratigya tattoo on his forearm wincing not so much from the pain of the hot wax but the pain in his heart. The pain caused by Prats's departure from his home and life without a word to him is at the heart of his rage. His heart loves her but his ego driven mind prefers to lay the blame for his mother's self-immolation at Prats's feet justifying his anger at her. How much of his pain is fueled by the tortured thought that he prefers to deny ...that he is directly responsible for his present plight for he told Prats to get out of his home, his life and his heart once and for all and she did just that much to his shock. He expected her to be in their room sulking and crying not abandon him and walk out on him. It is easier to direct his anger at Prats for her exit than to acknowledge that his inflated ego and pride have let him down big time.
TONY:
The nautanki is inversely proportional to the crash awaiting the Takurs. Get ready to watch Krishna fall apart soon. He is all set to tear down the Dhaba, one that everyone pitched in to rebuild after Raade burnt it to the ground. So what's next? The Niwas that is full of memories he's created with Prats during their year-long marriage, so is he going to burn the Takur family home down? Takurain may have caused the family more by ousting Prats without forethought to potential repercussions.
AGONY:
If it was that easy to forget the love of your life we'd never have heard of tragic love stories. Krishna, why take your anger out on Prats for doing what you told her to do and pretend that she's replaceable once you get rid of her belongings in your home.😕 You can try all you want, but as long as you have a mind she will continue to haunt you no matter where you go''you can run but you can't hide from your memories. The more you run from it the more it stays with you. Your destinies are intertwined in this lifetime whether you acknowledge it or not. Your only solution for peace is to bring her back into your life, she is after all by your own admission "my jaan, the breath I take." So, get off that ego ride and surrender to love with humility. You will save yourself a whole lot of heartache and pain. If you think it's that simple then think again. Remember what you said to her during your speech on trust ''."every time you say I love you it enters me like breath in every cell of my being".
