A week had passed by and Pia had begun to feel very emotional over the smalles of things. She'd met up with her friends at the Dobrials' early on in the week. She already suspected Arnab to be a quirky but fun loving kind of man but he was a little disturbing too. She'd realised her old man was a suspicious man asking Pia weird questions on her childhood. Pia couldn't believe how close he was to finding out the truth. If he ever found out his world would be shattered along with Pia's comfy social life. The sudden fear had made Pia skittish with fear of losing her friends forever. If this wasn't bad enough Abhay was around guarding her like some night watchman. It was getting to the point of creepy now. She didn't like them treating her like a china doll. She wasn't as fragile as they made her out to be. Tara and Rosa were doing their usual witchy scrying thing they did to track Sid and Alexis down. Pia found it draining to even contemplate on what was going inside Abhay's head. She had hoped he'd mellow down with the satisfaction of knowing his psychotic brother was laying low. Apprently this wasn't good thing on Sid's part. It meant he was up to something on a larger scale. Pia wasn't concerned by any of this. She just wanted Abhay back to being her annoying stubborn but sexy as hell lover. He had avoided getting intimate with Pia making excuses about it not being private enough or he wasn't in the mood. Pia felt as if she was being whiplashed around by Abhay's mood swings. Come to think about mood swings Pia's mind was fully there she'd realized her own temperement was out of sorts too snapping at Abhay. Why was she doing this?
Pia attempted to finish working on her assignment she'd been putting off for a week now. She'd done all the research on an English paper she'd been working on Sohniya Gandhi. Her paper reflected on her inspiration and what she meant to women in general. Pia found typing extremely exhausting. Her brain wasn't functioning on this. Her heart wasn't in it but she had to hand her paper today. Her deadline was for today. Luckily she'd nearly finished. Pia took another sip of hot choclate. She'd found it comforted her when she was this stressed out. Pia save the work on her laptop. Finally this was all complete. All she had to do was read through it and print. Pia took another sip of her hot chocolate managed to spill it all over herself and over her computer. She head the sizzle inside and bust.
Pia got a clean cloth and started wiping away the hot liquid from her computer cursing herself under her breath-S**t. S**t. Please work i need U to work.
Pia pressed the start button. Nothing. She checked the power it was on but the Laptop was fried. Pia tapped on it again-What do i do? Rosa's not here. Who do i ask?
Luckily for her Abhay was just outside listening in on Pia's expletives which amused the hell out of him. It was funny to hear Pia swear. It wasn't like her. He rushed upstairs to see Pia bursting into tears. Abhay picked Pia up in his arms trying to calm her down. She was beside herself.
Abhay softly speaks-Pia sweetie it's just a stupid machine.
Pia moaned-With all my work in it. I need to hand my assignment in today Abhay. I finished it but i spilt hot chocolate all over it. I'm so stupid. I'm such an idiot. I can't believe how dumb i am.
Abhay hushed Pia with his fingers-U are not dumb Pia nor an idiot and any other insulting words U choose for yourself. U are just under pressure and overworked. U haven't even been sleeping properly. Now stop for a minute and breathe out for me and then breathe in and breathe out. Did U have a back up saved on a USB stick or on a CD?
Pia followed Abhay's instructions breathing in and out. She answered Abhay's question with a glum look sounding very down-No i only just finished. I only saved it on there. Its not going to bring back my work now is it? I can't believe my hard works gone in vain.
Abhay's face told Pia another story-Lucky for U i have excelled in a few degrees and courses. I'm a computer whiz. Just give me a few minutes.
Pia eyes Abhay with interest-What are U doing?
Abhay gently stroked Pia's face with his hand-I'm going to solve your problem for U. I have the perfect solution.
Pia doubted Abhay for a second. The lapto was friend how could he possibly do anything about it?-U can't fix this Abhay.
Abhay pulled a sulky face-U have no faith in me Pia. Now i am very upset. Just watch!
Abhay unscrews the laptop and checks the chip and a few of the hardware area. It was fried but the data was still intact. He placed it on his laptop he'd had in his bag unscrewing it and then inserting the chip inside-Now try logging in.
Pia did as Abhay asked-It works!
Abhay's eyes were gleaming with pride for solving Pia's dilemma. She hugged Abhay-I told U its nothing to worry about. But U best keep this laptop. You'll need it. I have another one at home for emergency purposes.
Pia was hesitant-I don't think i.......
Abhay wasn't taking no for an answer-Now i insist U keep it Pia. You'd better print this out fast and hand it over before another disaster strikes.
Pia hurried printing out and checking if all her work was there-U are a life saver Abhay. Always coming to my rescue. THANKS.
Abhay moved aside letting Pia log out and switching her printer off.-We'd better head to College and hand this in. I've already posted mine off yesterday.
Pia teased-Teacher's pet. I wish i could type fast Abhay. This whole weeks been so tiring.
Abhay helped Pia out of her room driving her to college. Misha was already there with Kabir, Angad, Ruhi waiting at the entrance of their English class.
Misha saw Pia's eyes were all puffed up-Did U not get any sleep at all Pia. U look so rough Yaar.
Kabir nudged Misha-She meant to say what's troubling U?
Pia wasn't in the mood for pleasantries-Nothing much. Just haven't been focused on academics. I've been feeling a little blue. It must be due to all the stress. We have only two months till we break up Misha. Its seems like the work loads piling up and i'm falling behind.
Misha joked playfully-Just do as i do and blag your way through all the sessions. It makes it stress free.
Kabir mocked Misha-And then repeat the year again right?
Pia couldn't afford falling behind-I'm a scholorship student Misha i don't have the luxury to fool around.
Misha eyed Abhay-Then what good is having a boyfriend if he can't help U out. Abhay U should be supporting Pia not distracting her dude?
Pia defended Abhay-It is not his job to do things for me Misha. I'm an independant person i can handle this pressure. I just need to be on my game. That's all.
T took her chance to take a swipe at Pia-What's the matter Pia? Not been getting your ZZZZZZ's. I can see someone's forgot to get their daily masks on. A little cucumber around the eyes should solve your eye problem.
Misha yelled back at T angrily-Yeah like U use it everyday only it doesn't work very well on U does it T bag. U need to apply loads of concealers and foundation to hide all your imperfections.
T rolls her eyes at Misha-At least i can afford it unlike U Misha. U are so adamant on remaining clueless. Start acting like a girl. No wonder the only guy interested in U was gay.
Misha started to get her arms out to strangle T but Pia stops her.
The students all entered the class. Their tutor took their assignments from them Pia gave a sigh of relief finally handing it in was a weight off her shoulders. During the whole session Pia had found Abhay was staring at her like he was troubled. Why was he staring at her like this she thought. What was going on with him was more like it. As soon as it was recess Pia went to the cafetera for something to eat. She felt so hungry. Abhay had followed after her. Rosa had noticed Pia was behaving rather peculiarly. She'd warned Abhay to keep an eye on her just in case something major happened.
Abhay to Pia-Are U sure U are OK? This isn't like U Pia. This whole week you've been behaving weird.
Pia found this charming coming from Abhay-U mean like you've been distant with me Abhay?
Abhay averted his eyes away from Pia-This is not fair Pia. Don't make this into an arguement. I'm just a little concerned for U. We all are worried about U.
Pia didn't want their concerns-I just want to be left alone. Do U know how suffocated i feel having people around me all the bloody time? Do U? I feel like my personal space has been invaded. I just want a moment to myself. I want to be able to feel like i'm my own person damn it.
Abhay took Pia in his arms-U know we can't do that. Its too risky. Its too dangerous. What if Sid took his chance huh? What then?
Pia muttered under her breath knowing full well only Abhay would hear her-He hasn't even been around. For all we know he's found what he's been lokking for and has left town.
Abhay answered Pia sternly-Sid loved to play games Pia. It's how he gets to his victims. It's all a hunt for him. To find his prey and tear them down emotionally and mentally. Once he finds U vulnerable that is when he will strike. He has no moral code Pia. He isn't even human. You've seen first hand what he is capable of. Then why are U turning a blind eye?
Pia wanted to scream-Because i am sick and fed up of living like a prisoner in my own home. It's not right Abhay. I want be able to go places. Do things. Then I have U. Are U fed up with me already? U say U want me but then U keep pulling away from me. Have U got what U wanted and done with me. Am i not desirable anymore.
Abhay answered truthfully-Pia if Sid is watchingthen i don't want to antagonize him. He's a little partial. Once he stakes a claim on what he wants he is very possessive. I don't want to give him an incentive Pia. And i'm a little scared of what i might do.
Pia was disheartened by Abhay's explannation-I didn't know.
Abhay gently brished Pia's lips with his-I know this is hard Pia but we are all trying our best to keep U safe. W shouldn't be discussing this in public anyway. It's best done at home. If U want i'll take U anywhere U want tomorrow.
Pia curtly replied-Fine but you'd better be on your best behaviour. I was thinking of dropping by the Orphanage. I haven't seen Ananya in a while. II want to go see them.
Abhay saw Pia's features soften at the word Orphanage-Sure thing boss.
Pia smiled brightly-Last time U didn't fare so well with the kids. I was thinking this time U make an effort Abhay. I was one of them too U know. They all just want a little understanding and a little affection.
Abhay nodded-I will do my best. Now breaks over we'd better head to our next session Pia. Economics.
Pia groaned-Boring.
Sid at his office
Alexis had brought in an applicant Sid was interested in Panchi Dobrial was a sister to Misha Dobrial a friend of Pia. It was getting very boring laying low to get a chance at snagging Pia. Abhay was watching Pia like a hawk and so were the witches. They weren't leaving Pia to chance. The more Sid had observed Pia's movements the more intrigued he was by her. She had a handful of friends all laying down their lives for her if not their loyalties. She was getting cabin fever by all the security. This was what Sid had been hedging his bets on. Eventually they'd have to get a little lax and then he'd make his move. Sid had wondered why he didn't bother on hurting his brother and then compel Pia to turn herself in voluntarily. He wanted Pia solely because his brother had Pia. It sounded very childish but it was how he'd felt. His efforts to find Maithali were in vain. She was damn good at veiling herself from the vampires. He didn't blame her after all if he were in her position he'd have done the same thing.
Sid noticed Panchi was a little on the chubby side. It meant she'd be mouthwateringly tasty.The pretty young girls he'd been so used to sucking out dry tasted rather bland due to their full on dieting. It ruined their nutritional value. The only good side to skinny models were they were beautiful to look at and easier to bed. Panchi was dressed pretty modestly too. Such a shame he thought. Wasting away her youth by hiding herself away. Whatever he thought. He would easily get her to fall madly deeply in love with him and then break her heart. He needed somone to pass the time with. He wondered if there was anything she could tell him about Pia Jaiswal. From what he'd read she was a very broing girl with apalling taste in men. Why was it the same looking girl was trapped under Abhay's spell he was astounded by this little discovery that Pia's mother had been originally from here studying in the same class as Arnab Dobrial. This was an excellent revelation he was pleased by his findings. Panci and Misha's life was destined to fall apart with Pia. Little Red Riding hood would be left all alone just as he intended. It was predestined Pia fall at his hands.
Panchi wasn't impressed by this lothario. He was still staring at her like a letch-Hey U called me in for?
Sid was annoyed by this creatures impetulant manners-Oh yes Panchi right? As in the flying Bird. I wanted to personally congratualte U on your position in my company. I have heard wonderful things about U. I'm lucky that a star like U is willing to work for little old me.
Panchi shrieked in excitement-U mean i got the job.
Sid sat on his cahr stopped rolling his small orb around-I liked the dedication U have and the raw hunger in your eyes to excel in your career. I think this is an asset in my company to strive forward. I'm looking forward to working with U.
Panchi shook Si'd hand-U won't regret this Sir.
Sid knew he regretted nothing in his life-Oh i know i won't Panchi.U are free to leave now.
Alexis watched Panchi leave-Do U think this is wise to involve her? She's not even friends with Pia.
Sid's eyes gleamed with a twinkle and his lips curled into a devilish grin-Oh i beg to differ Alexis. Panchi is Misha's sister. She has no idea what i am other than being a womanizer. I am on a winning streak with this one. I get close to her i get Pia. There's no way Pia would endanger Panchi especially once i uncover her little secret to the rest of the world.
Alexis found his eyes bulge out almost in fear-What do U mean?
Sid beamed-All in time Alexis U are too eager to listen while i am too eager for action. I will get my girl and my love. Both will be mine leaving Abhay empty handed. He can not win again. This time the story will be written by me and the ending will have a different outcome. With me at the helm of it poor Abhay will end up all alone.
The Hunter
He was taken back by this newcomer. Actually by both Sid and Alexis were posing a threat to his grand scheme. He had to nab all the vampires together including Abhay and his folks. This place was turning out to be the breeding ground for the supernatural. It was completely gone to the dogs. Poor humans have no chance with them sucking away their blood. Then there were werewolves to deal with. He was still trying to get his witch to help him get a rough estimate on how many there could be. Potentially this was a suicide mission but he loved a good challenge. It was going to be the Hunter who took the last laugh and not the supernatural beings. His family had been plagued by these wretched lowlived but not anymore. He would put and end to this once and for all. He had to do something fast before their game was up. His witch was still under the assumption that Pia was the answer. He doubted that a simple girl could hold the key to ending this mayhem.
The Old Witch-U have your mind closed to the possibilities young one. U are not looking beyond the exterior. Pia is crucial in all this. More so than U can ever think it is possible.
The Hunter-I hope U are right Witch. Otherwise this will become impossible to end.
The Old Witch searches deep within her mind heading past all th oracles and prohecies there have been made-She is special Oh impatient one. More than she credits herself with. Pia will bring light into this world ending this senseless, baseless enemity between the tribes. She will bring salvation. U must protect her from the evil eye. He has his sights on her to ruin her. U must get to her before he gets to her.
The Hunter was ticked off by this news-Another obstacle. Does this s**t ever get any more complicated? I only want to do my job not add more to my heavy shoulders. It's bad enough i have a burden to right what went wrong. I can't save the stupid girl from herself now can I? She's in cahoots with her vampire lover. It makes her my enemy.
The Old Witch replies-U must not make assumptions based on your own opinions. Just follow the path i have weaved. U will soon find what U are searching for.
