I am not a regular on ML but since its 100th ML giving an analysis of the episode
Arohi and her mom relation-Arohi's mom is typical old fashoined. She sacrificed her love and married for family, she wants Arohi to do the same. Mummyji you must be helping your daughter get what you could not-love of life? Arohi suddenyl is shown mature and understands her mom's upset and goes and tells her to be her best friend and she can tell her any raaz or thoughts. Good mother-daughter bonding
But todays day belonged to father and son.
Fathers and sons speak very less to each other in real life. Very rarely you find a father-son where they speak openly like mother daughters. Imagine Rudra telling Arjun "i was in love and sacrificed it. you also do it". We cannot imagine right. I think on TV i have seen only AArjun Punj and DK speaking so openly. And that was because Arjun Punj did not have a mother or any sibling. Here the mothers role in Arjun life is fulfilled by Rashi and Romit both.
Majority guys use their mother as a medium to communicate to their dad like Mikhael does. Its because fathers have responsibilty to make their sons strong to face outside world and hardships. So to make them tough fathers will not show emotional bonding with sons from childhood because they think this will make their sons weak to face world later. But daughters are treated with much love and affection.
Rudra-Arjun's relationship lies in between neither are both open like Punj and DK and neither totally switched off like Mikhael-Rudra.
Today as i was watching the serial one thing striked me. Arjun went and sat next to his dad. That itself signifies so much. A person sits down near the feet of another person when he thinks that person is above him. For Arjun Rudra is his guru, dad and may be GOD to whom he is ever indebted. I know all of you think Arjun should think he has no obligation or karz towards Rudra because we know he was kidnapped and got to house by Rudra. But Arjun does not know that right. He is still thinking he has been adopted by Rudra out of love for orphan children. So till the time his dad sent him to jail to seperate him from Arohi his dad is his GOD only. Only an orphan child can understand Arjun's mindset we cannot even though we think we can because we have been brought up in financial and emotional security very lovingly by our family. And our family is GOD given so we really do not feel obliged to please them but Arjun does.
Arjun sits and thinks what Rajveer told him and Rudra playing with ice so that Arjun starts speaking. This is a beautiful scene and conveys so much meaning. If a child does something wrong and mother gets angry and sits silently without speaking a child will try to make noise by playing etc right so that the mother speaks to it or scolds it- does something to reassure it. This scene is similar. But here father is guilty and child is angry. And father does same thing as a guilty child would do play with the ice so that his son who is angry says something -tells whats in his mind.
Many of you are angry at what Arjun told Rudra that he would have left Arohi if Rudra would have asked him although he loves her. This was actually Arjun master stroke to his dad to make him realise the extent of Arjun's love. Arjun has realized his father has become insecure and to reassure him only says that word's to show the extent of his love towards Rudra before jail incident. Its like when a child gets scared if his father loves him because he is not showing previous kind of attention and father realizes and takes him out on trip or says something drastic to reassure child. Again Rudra is like the child who is scared of losing Arjun and Arjun her assumes a fathers role to reassure him of his love towards Rudra. Thats why he says such a drastic thing. Its like when a child gets up in fear at night parents come to room and reasuure it to fall asleep saying they will stay with him through night but when child falls asleep they go back to their bedroom.But now his father can never demand same love from him, respect yes but not same love as before jail incident. Never.
Rudra is shocked himself because he knew Arjun loved and respected him but he thought thats out of gratitude for adopting him. He never realized that Arjun has given him a real fathers place in his heart and life. Thats why he says "Dad in this world there is no one above you for me".That is shocking for Rudra and for few moments he feels ashamed and bends his eyes in shame. But again goes back to this true color and says then thats great. When a person is cheated of his love he no longer believes in love thats what happened to RPS. He has no faith in love whether from his own children, wife or anyone and does not want to acknowledge it.
Arjun although will no longer love Rudra the same way as before, he still tells him "My life is your amanat". That means he agian conveys when you need any help in life i will always be there for you to take care of you.
I am not sure if Rudra will open the raaz or not because somewhere he has started feeling guilty for not returning the love that a son shows towards his father. Thats why he says "when i was not rich i was still very rich because you were there and now when you are leaving although i am very rich i feel like a kangaal" Somewhere i feel deep down Rudra loves Arjun as a son but being the type of person he is he will never openly admit it to Arjun or anyone else. Hopefully towards end of serial we will see a good father-son bond.
Again Rudra's master stroke saying "You are a perfect son but i am not perfect papa". He is trying to emotionlly blackmail Arjun to come once to haveli. In that process he tells the truth about his and Arjun relationship. A son who can give up his life, love everything if his father asks once and a father who instead of being greatful for such a son always using him.
Father-son literally stole the show today
Mikhael must be a comedy actor just look at his wonderful expressions with face and hands etc. Ha ha. When and where did this guy learn such good comedy all of a sudden i thought he was serious types. The one major difference is Mikhael and Kumud openly keeps conveying through words and actions that he does not like Arjun. When Romit and Rashi were saying they will miss Arjun all those funny expressions he was giving were good. There is a chance in future for him to be redeemed. Mikhael just wants to be head of RPS business thats his and his moms one point agenda and Arjun is the only thorn. The last scene was bad. Looked like instead of Arjun leaving house Mikhael-Kumud threw him out of house. Did not give him one minute to see eveyones face or the house and just pushed him out. A dragger would have gone through Arjun's heart at this treatment from Kumud-Mikhael - he conveyed this through his eyes
Romit is so cute and innocent. Is he really Rudra and Kumud son or adopted. Not a single character of both his parents. But i understand. When you have 2 elder bros and an elder sis who protect you from all harm and outside world you become like Romit, innocent and oblivous to the world. Even Raj would have acted more maturely in such a scene. But i think his character will mature in future. And he will help Arjun max on behalf of Singhania's.
Rashi and Arjun relationship is so mature and brilliant. Rashi is happy her wish coming true and Arjun leaving house but sad to stay away from him
Why billu not going with Arjun? Makrand has literally disappeared.
These characters remind me of Mahabharat
Arjun- is both Karna and Arjun(till now he was Karna on side of bad torn by loyalty but in from now on he will be Arjun on side of good)
Jignesh-Shakuni (always trying to instigate Mikhael and Kumud agianst Arjun)
Kumud-Gandhari(Blind in mikheal love)
Mikhael-Duryodhan (jealousy towards brother will destroy him one day)
RPS- Dritharashtra, Bhishma(blind by enemity towards Ahluwaliah like drithrashtra, know whats right and wrong yet side with wrong like bhishma)
Rashi is kunti always guiding Arjun
Dadi is Dronacharya
Romit any one of the younger pandavas- Nakul or Shadev
Arohi- Panchali
