'PATIALA HOUSE is NOT a cricket film'said Nikhil

Akshay Kumar's forthcoming film 'Patiala House' is very close to his heart for Akki feels his character is based on his real life instances.

He informs the film has reinvented him as the situations and story of the film is similar to his life. "Patiala reinvents me again and gives me a chance to try something different," said Akshay during his recent media interaction.

Akshay informed that he went through a depression just like his character, who gets a second chance in life and uses it perfectly. " Patiala House is about following or chasing a dream. Seven years ago I went through the same situations when none of my film was doing well and I gave 14 flops. I thought I was finished. But then I got 'Jaanwar', which was my second chance in the industry," he reminisces.

It is believed that cricket is an integral part of the film but according to director Nikhil Advani, 'Patiala House' is not just about cricket but about following your dreams v/s parental obligation. "It's not a cricket film. It's just a small part of the film. Akshay is going to surprise people with his performance. The title 'Patiala House' has been given by him," said Nikhil.

No wonder Akshay is so high about this film and is also co-producing it.
