It is so annoying to see Shaan again talk about states in the new program. I think he is worsening the already explosive regional situation.

Why does he keep saying she is from Assam, Bengal etc? HE is creating this problem?

What do you all think?

Well - the only fall-out from these talks of regionalism was that more and more people got incensed about their own regions which resulted in feverish SMSs and Gaj-ji just laughed his way to the Swiss banks.

Why should he stop then???

This whole SMS format encourages this kind of nonsense. I don't know why
people are not more interested in talent. This kind of thing will hurt all of
the Bengali contestants: Raktima, Ujjaini, Nilardri, Joyeeta, Saptak, Sanchali.
It is too depressing.

Thats true respect. But do you think it is Shaan's own doing too, because the other hostess doesnt seem to say so much about that. Frankly it is so annoying, feels like he is talking about different countries participating in Olympics. It is Indian music for God sake.

shaan is not creating this problem but this is a fact that regional voting does have a great impact on tyhe final decision

Due to SMS, I do not think Shaan is doing this on his own, Shaan is very small fish in this pound. All these things are decided by the management not by Shaan. As Shaan is their spokesperson and did good for them by saying these kind of things in SRGMP, so they wanted to use Shaan again. I do not blame Shaan, because he is just doing his duty what his masters are saying to do.

qazi, I think you are right. I guess Shaan has no choice, but it is really ridiculous. But at least so far the judges have been reasonable. I hope they wont do a breakdown of votes by region this time, to make matters worse
