2010 Flood In Pakistan: A Step Towards Humanity

The 2010 Pakistan floods began in July 2010 after heavy monsoon rains affected the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, lower Punjab as well as parts of Balochistan.

Today, I'm here to talk to you about a very serious issue that has occured in Pakistan has caused millions to be homless.It has destroyed their families, their possesions, and some have even lost their very dear ones.Relief workers in Pakistan are struggling to reach hundreds of thousands of people who have been cut off by rising flood waters.

The floods, caused by heavy monsoon rains, have washed out key bridges and roads in many parts of Pakistan. Itis becoming very difficult to help those in needs because of this tradgedy.Around a fifth of Pakistan's total land area was underwater due to the flooding

"1.2 million homes have been damaged or destroyed since the flooding began. Roughly one million people have received tents and tarps, but an estimated five million people still need emergency shelter"(CBC News)

Now your wondering how come i made this thread? Well its to inform you and also to ask you to help us.

IMRAN Khan Foundation, has lauched a fund for the Flood Victims called

PUKAAR.

This is where you guys the members of IF come in, Kids and Adults everywhere today own a cell phone right? And if i'm right you also sent out a ton of SMS,everday asking people how they are? or maybe some jokes? or sayings that have reminded you of a particular person?

Today i want you to save those SMS's and use them to help out someone in need. Avoid sending, jokes,sayings,texts and send a SMS saying "PUKAAR to "4361" to help out the flood victims.

Your One text could feed a hungry child out there, or provide some clothes, or medicine, or shelter.

I know your wondering what your one text can do? It can do alot when everyone joins in and sends a text after all you know what they say," bhoond bhoond se hi darya banta hai"

Its just a small step of ours, as it is said drops can make huge sea.

Its really a grave and serious problem, so many lives have been wasted. I was watching TV and saw a man saying that he had 5 children and all have drowned in flood. People have lost everything, every possession of them. They need our HELP. Its our moral duty to help them. Every time i saw people suffering due to flood i end up crying.

By mere a small message we can save life of so many people who are dieing due to lack of food. Who don't have anything left to them.

We can't even imagine what those people must have gone through. After every prayer i just pray to Allah to bless Pakistan and save the life of those people who are suffering due to floods.

In Islam Hajj is the most prestigious prayer, and one hajj in Life is important for every Muslim who can afford it, but Now helping the suffered people is way more IMPORTANT than hajj. Many Ulma Ikram and Mualims are saying this. And Its true.

Guys its just a message.
Help the people who are suffering.

Just a little step which can save the life of so many people. All we can do at the moment.
