I woke up this morning and this sudden feeling gripped me ....could it be that Sameera is dead ? And the "new character" will come as a flashback of a person no more ?may be Sameera is dead and her death was painful to Maan and he decided to stay away from girls , and from love.....

Now that I think of it , it seems a strong possibility ..

1. that will explain Maan being in so much PAIN about his past ...hating flowers..(remember his expression while saying ek din toh mujhe chain se jeene do? it was full of PAIN , not ANGER) ....

2. that also explains dialogues like "sameera ke jaane ke baad mere liye har ladki se door rehna asaan ho gaya tha..." .. we thought jaana is leaving him , as in going away , but may be it is leaving him , as in dying.....

3.that also explains Sameera being a "very positive character " yet She beingbeing cause of his staying away from girls , yet - remember how confused we were...

4. Now that only leaves the doubt that why did dadi say Sameera ne jo kiya woh thik nahin tha, infact "usne gunaah kiyaa that ".... well , that may be because Sameera committed suicide for some reason ? ..that's why dadi calls it a gunaah ? remember she also says Maan you are not responsible for it , it was not your fault ...etc...that seems to fit in that way ..

5. that also explains Maan's somehow feeling it was his fault.... he may be feeling responsible for her death in some way.....

6. that will also explain his yesterday's dialogue on "har hansi apne saath ek ghum laati hai "...etc

7. As for girl wanting his money possibility ... I dont really have an answer ... may be he just said that to Geet to make her leave , or may be his third bro's girlfriend did it , or may be some other girl, not sameera did it to him.. I really dont know , this is the only point that makes me wonder against this theory... otherwise it all fits in ... if Sameera is dead and her death was painful to Maan and he decided to stay away from girls , and from love.....

Well , I am not feeling so sure anymore .... but believe me , in the morning this had gripped me .... as the most probable possibility ..

I dont know what will actually come out,ofcourse, ....

tell me how you see it ...

That would not explain why Maan hates Sameera. Dadi did say why he was taking out his anger of Sameera on Geet. She also said that what Sameera did was not a mistake but a sin. One possibility could be that Sameera had committed suicide. That would then explain Dadi's words and also why Maan resents her (for she left him to his pain). Lets see what the CVs show.

Sorry I think you did mention about the suicide, didn't you? Didn't notice it.

The suicide/"gunaah" angle never even occurred to me, nice post! After Maan completely went off on Geet and accused her of gold-digging intentions (what you have in your point #7), that left me thinking that Sameera must have just wanted his money and then left. I never really considered any other theory but your post got me thinking!

May be Maan will have the flashbacks or may be someone will tell Geet of sameera cause she is curious as to why maan doesnt smile anymore, and we will see flashbacks of sameera and maan.

The more I think of your suggestion that Sameera had committed suicide, the more I think it is a strong possibility. It would also explain why Maan initally used to taunt Geet saying women are weak, they try to escape a problem and do not have the courage to face it, they always rely on a man to take care of them etc etc. Maybe Sameera was a weak character who took her life when she could not handle her problems (whatever they may be).

As to the gold digger theory, it could be that Maan sees through NT and knows that she is a gold digger (he definitely does not like her). Maybe his accusation of Geet stems from his impression of NT.
