krishna loves her dearly & has crossed the stage of door se dekh kar aahey bharna & the stage of emotional attachment...so he wants to move on to the next stage which happens to physical intimacy.

Its not krishna whose in a rush, its his parents who r putting all this pressure on him...evey human being at some point succumbs to the stress...so has he by making the wrong decision of saying that pratigya is pregnant.

He loves her alot which is why he puts up with her crap, stands up for her against his family & everyone else who has a bad intention for her.

I agree with everything u have said and wld like to add just a thing to the underlined part.

Pratigya succumbed to the stress and never told her parents abt the letters, crank calls etc and eventually married her stalker.

So here Krishna has succumbed under his stress an acted adversely so whats wrong?

I don't agree with your explanation of justifying Krishna's good character. If I used your standard of righteousness to justify ones' character than there is no standard ay all ... everyone will come up with their own standard of righteousness. There is a difference between good and right!

Denying physical intimacy may be her trump card. It is only bec' of her husband does a woman even have a relationship with her in-laws. She is willing to play savior to her sasural while she shuns her husband. Warped thinking. He has stood by her inspite of it all the whole time.

It's not uncommon in Indian society for sasural to expect a potha once a couple is married. They see it as the next step, they look forward to the joy of being grandparents. They can't force them but many couples do tend to feel stressed at the expectations.

How can she be a bechari if she is the one who made a decision to marry him against her parents wishes? She chewed off more than she could swallow. She has had her way in the Tacurse household much to Amma's annoyance and Krishna has been the one to stand by her.

Krishna has some growing up to do and have someone show a better life. What is her excuse though? She had a better upbringing and different exposure to life and yet she only wants to teach him lessons(revenge). How about teaching him the right lessons to make their marriage work? Seems she needs an attitude adjustment first and then show Krishna a way to a better future.

i totally agree with the topic starter's views! i dont understand what Pratigya wants from Krishna... shes quite snobby if u ask me... she thinks just because shes educated, shes above all the thakurs when in reality, they have more life experience than she will ever have which i think is a bonus..... krishna is acting on what he has been raised with... his father and brother resort to physically abusing their wives and so krishna also took that route... however, krishna is not like his brother or father because firstly, he didnt rape prats nor has he ever actually beat her... also, he stands up for her and gets ridiculed in the process.... wheres the fairness?? i agree that krishna may not have all the answers but he is considerate, caring, loving and at the end of the day he does deserve at minimum a smile from prats.... she hasnt smiled even once... on top of all that, all she does is teach him lessons... right and wrong all the time is not exactly the funnest conversations..... she should really be more wife like and less teacher like.... i wish she would just relax a bit.....im actually happy that krishna stands up against her like he does sometimes.. its a reality check for her and he does it privately.... hopefully, she understands how lucky she is...krishna haters u must see both sides and see prats shortcomings...

@coconut boy: my post has nothing to do with Krishna/Arhaan's looks or personality.
& neither did i write up this post to give anybody a character certificate.
I am just stating that there are 2 sides to every story, every situation.
I have always wronged Krishna for where he was wrong....& have given pratigya the same treatment.
As far as righteousness is concerned, standards of righteousness are determined taking into consideration the circumstances.
Every circumstance is different so ur generalized standard of righteousness can be far from right.

Good points! 👏(Underlined). She is running around trying to impress the in-laws while she refuses to have a normal relationship with her husband? Doesn't he even deserve a smile face to face even when he bought her the rabri? She refused to take it from it and then smiled when he left the room.. She is becoming a bit snobby and self-absorbed person. As long as he is defending her from his family, she uses him like a bodyguard to step in to protect her. She makes him pay for thinking he hurt her and her family when in fact Angad is the culprit. All he gets from her in return is criticism and rejection (verbal and emotional abuse). He is caught in the middle between his wife and his family with their ridicule and criticism, yet he keeps everything about his marriage private. She is not interested in teaching him the right lessons so far.
