Well I have decided to write a short story ……. A kind of an FF. It is detached from the serial but for the characters. I thought of writing something on the serial itself …….. but it's so humdrum, so I thought of borrowing the characters and concocting my own story. Hope it's interesting enough for you guys to want to read it.
Tumbleweeds
List of Characters:
Archana Karanjkar is a young lady full of zest and eager to live life to its fullest. Almost engaged to a handsome young man Suresh, she has everything to look forward to. One day, on her way to her friend's Mehendi party, there is a freak car accident in which she is crippled. Her dreams of becoming a professional dancer come to an end.
Suresh is not an example of "Handsome is as handsome does". He withdraws and leaves the moment Archana offers that they go their respective ways.
Sachin Deshmukh is driving the other car in the accident. He somehow cannot get over his guilt at being inadvertently responsible for Archana's condition. In reality he is not to be blamed, but good-hearted that he is, he tries to make amends.
Shravani is Sachin's fiance who is also in the car.
Manav Deshmukh is Sachin's older brother and is a successful orthopaedic surgeon. Living overseas, he is summoned by his mother Savita Deshmukh to return and shake his brother out of his depression.
Manav Deshmukh returns to India at this juncture, to help his brother and to take a look at this girl whose case is something of a challenge for him. He gets a shock to see a beautiful girl in a wheelchair. She is cold and is in no mood to meet Manav leave alone allowing him to treat her.
What happens? Is Manav able to break ice with Archana? Does he remain clinical and treat her just as his patient or does he slowly lose his heart to her? Will Archana ever allow another man to get close to her ever again? She doesn't like Manav. She dislikes his quick smile and twinkling eyes. She has locked her heart and thrown the key away. Will she finally allow herself to live? ……………
