I am sure Rupa, that Shivani meant nothing personal to you or to the actress playing the role of "Tapasya." It sounded to me as a playful joke in response to your counter thread.

You could also chart up a poll. There's nothing anyone can do for you, if you do not like anyone speaking up against one of the most negative character in the show.

There should be some level of maturity and tolerance to accept that everyone has the right to speak, and not everyone will agree with each other on chat forums. Different views is what makes it pleasant and interesting. You are in complete control of your emotions and your mind. No one can control others, but only themselves....well okay, with the exception of Tapasya. 😃

Unfortunately this is not the viewers fault nor the members, but the CV's who dragged the poor lady into playing this foul role. A lot of people agree her role is suited to her due to her superb acting skills, some of us haven't watched any of her other movies, so neither I nor others have a clue about what she is like in person in real life. I am sure you have a wonderful thoughts about the real person, but we have not dwelved that far, so pardon our ignorance!

Hope you come back and accept that negative roles may not be liked by most people here, and try to enjoy being in the forum just to relax sometimes.

@Clue:Well said😊
All I want to say is don't confuse between the actor and the character...we hv every right to analyse/criticise the character but NOT target the actor in question..its not a rule made by me or anyone else..its the rule made by the admin of IF😊

Dear Jyothi, I have always been interested in reacting to my surroundings which means I am alive, conductings polls has been the most enjoyable part of interaction for me on this forum as it has always given me an insight into others opinions. I am a person very keen on knowing my surroundings and thats how i imagine forums flourish, by having enthusiastic people interacting ofcourse without crossing boundaries. My particular poll in question was a universal question. I see no ethical issues about the poll itself, but unfortunately its beyond my control how other people may react to things and i did not anticipate any problems.

@Shivani:🤗...Heres a jaadu ki jhappi from me...I fully understand and respect your POV😳..but like u said we hv no control about other person's reactions..and thats the reason why India-Forums hv kept certain rules and regulations on certain issues so that such unpleasant instances don't happen and thats why its necessary to sometimes restrict ourselves on certain things keeping in mind about other person's sentiments😳..conducting polls is absolutely fine as long as its only related to the show and its characters...the type of poll u hv done was not apt for Uttaran forum as it looked like an indirect attack on another memeber's thread..if u hv done this same poll on a general discussion section mayb the poll would hv been valid..its just the place and the atmosphere we need to take care of..😳

Agreed, but my comment ws not a personal attack, it was a joke a naseeha with well meant intentions
this post is created because the topic starter was attacked personally in another thread...
I do not know about that. I do not call Shivani's statement a personal attack. She was saying that Tapasya is her family only as a joke because she was supporting the actress for that role so much.

According to human rights laws, everyone has a freedom of speech and conscious beliefs and everyone acts according to their own perception of what they conceive is right or wrong.

There was no abuse or personal attacks as no family names were mentioned, it was not said in a rude, or abusive manner to hurt or taunt her family, nor do we know each other or our intentions, and so there should be more tolerance from both sides.
I m not saying the topic starter is right here..but somewhere we all need to draw the lines between sarcasm, joke and personal attack..
Correct, but how do you differentiate between a personal attack, a joke, and sarcasm with this type of comment?

It is a very fine line and you, yourself may end up hurting others who had well meant intentions. It is therefore more wiser to adhere to taking actions only on abusive posts or those that really do give out personal attacks rather than on mere whim for someone just responding as a friendly joke, or as anyone does when supporting one team against another.
May be your intention was not to hurt anyone..
Definitely not. How can it be? Is there anything bad I said about controling blood sugar and caring for one's health?
but then there r certain words whichmight b taken in a offensive manner by the other person..
I would really like to know what they were and how you construed my one line as a "personal attack"? I don't even remember ever responding this member before today.
we should learn to respect everyone's opinion irrespective of whether we agree to it or not
True but you may be contradicting yourself if you dissallow some people to voice their comments that you do not agree to because of your perception of what defines a personal attack, which others may not agree with..
I know its a friendly forum which is good👏..but in a friendly forum its also important that we welcome all types of discussions in a contructive manner..there is a thin line between construcvtive criticism and bashing..
Thank you, but neither I or anyone else was "bashing" this member here. That is very strong accusation.

Not all discssions here are in constructive criticisms, most are jokes and expressive comments to relieve members of the frustrations of this serial show. 😆
Also its a discussion forum dear...there r separate chat clubs forumfor chatting ..
According to you, this is a discussion forum, but according to me this is a chat forum. So if you say you welcome all types of discussions then you should be true to your word and respect that people will perceive and define things differently from you, after all we are all adults and have equal rights.
in discussion forum its necessary that we appreciate both types of discussions whether we agree to a certain POV or not😊

Agreed. 😊

I am simply going to close this post now, since I think Jyoti made the point very clear why sarcastic comments or indirect attacking is not allowed on this forum or anywhere on IF. Bashing an actress or any member on this forum directly or indirectly is not allowed... and if any further instigatory posts r made warning levels will be raised - effective immediately.
