One of the qualities i ask my sis (who's single) to look for in a guy, is someone who respects his own parents....because only then will he respect ur's, and u, love is important, but so is respect.

Love without respect is childish

Me too!!! I was just talking to my younger sister's bf 2 mins ago and he was worried if my parents will accept him. I kept telling for now don't worry and take care of your own parents.
Yash made the right call.

yash's mom is always been bashed but i do think that gurpreet is a little too blunt and illmannered..... moreover we have seen in some episode that when yash's mom was by her she just turned a blind eye to her...more over she is always bitching to yash about his mom...such a gal can not keep a family to gether....

yash is a good person....he has only known gurpreet for a matter of weeks...and even then its not like he spent every living moment with her. so why would he go against his parents for someone who he has only just met? it would be another thing if they were in a long-term committed relationship and were deeply in love.
why would he pursue a relationship when it has already caused so much tension for him and his mother. later on down the road its only going to get worse.
and i cant seem to understand why everyone on the show is trying to force gurpreet down his throat....both of them are smart attractive individuals who can easily find someone else better suited to them.

Absolutely right. Perhaps she thought to make him against her so that he will marry her. She seems to be desperate to win. Aren't there enough boys to get. Her mom too i did not like. You have to be bit mild to win someone. Instead she too spoke bad and indirectly . I STILL FEEL GUR IS NO GOOD FOR YASH.
HE IS A GENUINE PERSON AND GEM . HE DESERVES A BETTER GIRL. GUR HAS PRIDE AND EGO . THOUGH NOW SHE LEARNT TO BE LITTLE GOOD TO HIS MOTHER , OTHERWISE EARLIER SHE ALWASY COUNTER QUESTIONED HER. YESH'S MOM WAS GOOD ENOUGH NOT TO TELL ON NATIONAL TV HER BAD POINTS AND INSTEAD SIMPLY SAID I CANNOT SEE YOU AS A BAHU.
GUR SAID SOMETIME THAT THIS SHOW IS PERFECT BRIDE AND NOT BAHU. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BAHU AND BRIDE. THEN WHY THE MOM'S ARE HERE. WHY NOT THE GIRLS MOM HERE ? BEC THE BOYS MOM NEEDS TO CHOOSE AND NOT THE GIRLS MOM.

Let me add one thing here, most people will disagree with this. A DIL is always expected to respect her in laws just like she did for her parents, but when the same is expected from the groom, they find it odd. For the boys, its very difficult to accept anyone's parents as his own, but girls succeed in this criteria since their lives are attached with the boy and his family and they become her identity. I have seen several son in laws who respect their in laws, but one word out of the in laws mouth, there comes the ego and clashes. Girls think more maturely when it comes to family relations.
