sorry Geet... i edited my post...
alright, what was i saying... yes the gist of it... U/A is actually a good thing... everyone can watch it... and kids normally don't go alone as it is... could have been U but i suppose U/A is thanks to certain two members of the cast... and no, they are not Shahid and Rani... 😉
Rating System:
  • U/A : Unrestricted Public Exhibition but with parental guidance for children below 12 years. This rating is given to a movie which contains mild violence, language and sensuality. The movie may contain some material that is unsuitable for children under 12.
    • This rating is similar to 12A of BBFC and PG-13 of the MPAA.
    • A : Adults: 'A' Films are meant for Adult audience above 18 years only. However, in practice most theatre owners in India never ask for identification and often even children below 10 years can be seen in theatres showing A rated films. This rating is given to a movie which contains heavy dose of violence, sexuality, frightening images and language.
      • This rating is similar to R of the MPAA;

    U/A thing really makes no sense. Its like a dikhawa - so the film is not all clean, but everyone can still watch it.

    They should have a more comprehensive rating system.

    well, yeah... when certain scenes parents are not comfortable with comes up, then people can start giving snacks to kids and divert their attention...
    overall, it means it is a clean film, except maybe few scenes here and there... but it is overall fine for everyone else to watch it...
    i mean there are many films that i won't mind my kids to watch barring a few scenes here and there, which i would tend to forward... those would come under the rating "U/A"... see what i mean...

    i am also talking about generally and overall including DBH... you know, there are many Disney movies that are rated PG-13.... but there's absolutely nothing wrong with them... most i won't mind my kids to watch except a scene or two here and there...
    so i don't see why getting U/A is such a big deal.... 😕
    i think it's perfectly fine.... and people can't expect kids under 12 to go alone, do they... so that's good because parents know that it's fine for everyone to watch it and you get to have more people who will come and watch it...
