April 30, 2009 Written Update

Nik, Kshitij and the betis collect the money from the bank and are excited to start their work, when BC sends his goons to beat them up and steal their money. But the betis prove to be stronger than them and they beat up the goons instead. (What sort of losers did BC send, that even the betis cud beat up) BC is on the phone all nervous and scared talking to the 'Malik' guy who was the one who ordered him to send his goons after the betis. He assures Malik that his work will be done, but he is stunned when his men walk in injured. He is furious when he hears what happened. In the house, Nik gets a call from US w/ an order of 10,000 sarees. The garodia gang is ecstatic to start off w/ such a huge order, but Saras reminds them that they will need a lot of raw material for an order of 10,000 sarees for which they do not have the required funds (Give it to Ms. Bossy to ruin the moment). Sav suggests approaching their old client Mansuk Shah. Saras and the rest go to him and ask for raw material. They pay him 5 lacs and promise to pay the rest after finishing their order. He gladly helps them out. All return home with the raw materials and begin work in the back yard w/ the help of the workers. Later while all sit to eat lunch, Gauri comes w/ good news that she got an interview call for the job she had applied. Menka is irritated and taunts Gauri when she asks for a new outfit for the interview. Saras puts Menka in her place and makes it clear to her that Gauri will fulfill her dream no matter what. BC worries when he learns from his secretary that the Betis have started saree production in their home and have been getting orders from abroad thru Nik. Back in the house, the workers finish up for the day and leave. Jhanvi is angry that Nik doesn't remember it's their 1^st month anniversary today(wow she actually counts the days… she never seemed that obsessed abt him to me, esp when she was busy screaming at BC and gang all these days), and intentionally Nik makes her angrier by telling everyone that he used to date a lot of girls. Upset and angry, Jhanvi goes upstairs and is pleasantly surprised seeing the terrace decorated with lights and candles along w/ a cake. Nik comes there w/ flowers and a gift (a necklace) for her. She thanks him for making her so happy. He puts on the necklace for her, and they share some romantic time together(The betis actually don't interrupt this time!). Late at night, whilst all are asleep, the sarees (which have been kept in the yard for drying) catch fire from the burning logs that were kept lit there (hahahaha which one of the loser betis did that). When Saras comes there to check on them she's horrified to see all their hard work reduced to ashes and crumbles to the floor in tears. (loved this ending!)
