Yes I know what you are talking about - even I saw it and to make sure I watched it around 10-12 times, with pausing in all angles to make sure. I think she was talking about those pointy high heels - even I dont wear them, even after living outside India all these years. Salsa usually require you to have those high heels though - they are kind of 2-3 inches or more!!
I love Alisha plz stop bashing her 😳
she was amazing in her chinese act today! 👍🏼
Not really. good quality salsa shoes start from three quarters to one inch heels and can go as high as one is ready to manage and their partner's height. My salsa shoes costed little over $100 and have .75 cms heels. The sole is real soft and bends very easily but is skid resistant. Problem I have noticed in Indian dance shows is bad quality foot wear and costumes. That's where most of the balance troubles stem from.
Oh, I glanced through the clip only one time😆 You may be right here as far as this clip is concerned but dancing shoes with heels being uncomfortable or requiring great deal of getting used to - I don't think so, akku. I am 5' 9" and don't usually require heels. I did grew up wearing flats due to already unusually tall stature😆 but even I took to my salsa shoes like fish takes to water😃
Okay Gauri, you win! 😃 🤗 I was comparing the shoes I have seen in salsa performances by the Latino dancers - they all wear 2-3" high heels, na... But the way they move their hips in those heels - I have no words! Simply gorgeous... Yes, the Indian shoes are usually very hard sole and so would hurt your heels - for me it hurts even with the flats there! When it comes to shoes, I dont know, I am a big complain person for many kinds of shoes, as it really hurts my feet - I need the W size ones, else my toes will kill me. It's a personal thing, I believe, as I have seen my American friends walking firmly on pin point heels! And when I tell them I cant walk in those kind, they also give me 'that' look!! 😆 😆
😆 naah. as far as this clip is concerned, you win hands down😆 okay, 'fession time - my very first post here was made w/o watching the clip😳😆 rest of the posts were a desperate attempt to save face😉 But I did enjoy a debate after what seems like ages🤗😆
I am so with you on comfort when it comes to shoes. I do wear heels now because I love the way it makes the walk more sensuous but I slip on flats whenever I get a chance. I seldom get chance to wear heels more than an inch at Indian gatherings due to height issue😆 I jave boots with pencil heels. They put my shins on fire per what to do --- they look so goddamned cute with one of my skirt suits😳

So Alisha never wore heels prior to her salsa performance?
Funny, she seems to be wearing some in this video (during the Mumbai auditions)
