The karnataka Chief minister refused to ban the Shri Ram Sena giving a sort of free license for such Rowdy Mongers to attack and destroy properties. The reason from the CMO is that there is no proof evident for banning the organization. Why can't the governement consider these acts of terror seriously and ban the organization such as SIMI . If these attacks continue and we do not learn from such mistakes then i am sure every other DOG would start barking and biting people.

Right sentiment, Right comparision, wrong example

The leader of Shri Ram Sena is a supporter of the Malegaon Bomb blasts and is suspected of helping them. If you use THAT example, you can establish a comparision with SIMI, their acts in Mangalore fall into a different category.

if i remember correctly there was this organization called the children of god which headquarter was bombed down by the fbi in united states of america because the government misunderstood the religious view of this particular religious organization that was seen as a threat to the security of the country. due to this incident many died and were injured. it is better for us not to ban religious organization because no matter how much we are trying to ban them, there will always be devoted people who will fight for these religious organization. it is better to give them permission and licence to practice their faiths, as people are supposed to have freedom to practice their own choice of faiths but the government must emphasize on this religious organization to respect other people faiths and beliefs as well and not to vandalize on public or private properties.

I havent heard of Shri Ram Sena... I have heard of Shiv Sena.. is tht the same political party.. i have to read up on it and will then say anything further..

But banning a religious organization outrages people.. and i think when a government bans a quote on quote religious organization, it only makes their stance seem stronger in front of the common man.. They have their right to practice.. But in this case.. what exactly does SRi doo..?

I think banning religious organization should be taken with caution, too many times the majority will step on the little ones and just ban till they gain supreme power.
This doesn't happen indirectly, but in some majority Hindu places, some of the Muslim groups are not treated as they should, but it definitely goes the other way, in majority ruled Muslim places Hindus dont get enough rights..I think in some ME countries wearing a attire or flag/representation publicly that's differing than the national religion is condoned.
I read the UN Human rights report and it goes both ways, no matter what religion you are, if you are sitting in a semi-unstable government, there are high chances that you will be suppressed.
What i dont like is when the world closes there eyes and takes one side, i.e. with Gaza, ppl should have seen the atrocities and sadness that took place there.

Banning these people might give popularity to them. Instead, I think that the best thing is to put the goons, of Ram sena, in jail for 1-2 years.

I even wonder if these gundas, who are against pubs, themselves drink heavily in their free time (when they are not hitting people).
