All it really takes is votebank. The politicians gauge the ramifications of banning them vis a vis vote banks in their constituency/state. Since law and order is a state issue the Govt at centre doesnt interfere much unless it is a bog issue. Sadly in case of Mangalore incident, there are people who are follower of the doctrine of subjugating women as per their whims and fancies.These people are of the belief that its their birthright to transgress women and their freedom.

Religous group is one thing and a fanatic group is another thing. The Sri Ram Sena is not a religous group. They are true fanatics and what they did was just showing another type of fanatism try to disguise the culture in between.

even when they are fanatics they are still religious groups.
