Um, I completely agree with your point about how he is not using Ash's name to get attention. The fact is in that in North America, Ash is the name most associated with Bollywood with people, thanks to the horrible film Bride and Prejudice. People don't know about SRK or AB. This is at least my experience. But that does not mean Russell Peters in even in the same plane in funny as Bill Maher. Sorry, but no, I have not seen anything Russell has brought to the table that has been as insightful about the world and as hilarious as Bill Maher's work over the years. So I sign off, a devoted viewer of Real Time with Bill Maher, and a person, who finds Russell Peters very unfunny. A desi comedian, who is funny is someone like Aziz Ansari of Human Giant fame. His story about meeting M.I.A. on Youtube is hilarious.

Note: I know you weren't comparing them, but even mentioning them together makes me mad because it is like comparing having a pumpkin pie to a Smartie as a desert.
