Not everyone sings praises of the World's most gorgeous woman Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Big B might laud her as the greatest bahu, and the finest actress in Bollywood, but for stand-up comedian Russel Peters, the beauty is only good for laughs.

The Canadian comedian of Indian origin Russel Peters who keeps the world engrossed with his humour is surprisingly not too fond of Bollywood movies. A news daily quotes him as saying, "I wouldn't watch a Bollywood film even if I am at the lowest point of my life. These films have horrible stories and terrible acting. I don't know why your films have singing or dancing every other minute. Either you are telling a story or you are not."

And, then comes a shocker as Russel states Aishwarya as an example of a bad actress. Here it is, from the horses' mouth, "Aishwarya Rai is the biggest example of bad acting. She has proved it time and again how it can do wonders. In Bollywood, people can become superstars just by having a pretty face."

Well, we certainly wish Russel a safe stay in India as he's all set to perform live in Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi this October.

i'd be upset if it weren't true, but it is...and unfortunately people do become famous in bollywood by either being beautiful or by being in a well known bollywood family.....but, i thought she was good in Devdas...she acted well....thats the only movie of hers i can say was good because she acted well....i even overlooked madhuri in that one lol.....but then came along dil ka rishtaa and a whole bunch of other movies with overacting...and that was it for me...

but this dude is hilarious....ive watched alot of his shows

he lives pretty close to my house.....ive seen him around at the movies and stuff (hollywood ofcourse)....haha omg he's absolutely hilarious....love him....

well i dont think aish is a bad actress, shes done some fine work as well...but yeah shes not the best....she has a longggggggggg way to go styl where acting is concerned....

Ok the easiest way to get some footage in Indian newspaper or Televisionis to keep mentioning Bachchans - Ash, abhi, Big B.

So whats new one more guy getting few second of fame in INDAIN cirlce.

Why did so becasue he has shows coming up in INdia for the very firts time. Where is is UNKNOWN to the normal public.

He says wrong about Indian movies and coming gto India...>Wiered.

IMy tv is mostly on comedy channel here in US and love it but atleas they have dignity.

^^^I don't think Russel Peters needs to mention Aish's name to get in the news. He is a well known comedian with a rather large fan base, on his 20th anniversary tour.

Everyones entitled to their own opinion, and there's no rule saying that just because you're in India you have to praise Bollywood.....not everyone loves indian musicals.

This guy knows that if he mentions the name Bachchans these media will make the headlines of their newspapers and he will have a good publicity for his stupid show. It's easy to targeted Aishwarya because she's the most famous in this industrie.

He hates bollywood movies while he has never seen Indian films in his life.

He's a jerk! There are other actresses with pretty faces that totally can't act, but Ash isn't one of them-Guru, JA, Raincoat, Provoked, Choker Bali,... the list goes on!

well, the average people in India aren't gonna go watch his shows, i highly doubt that...and those that ARE gonna watch his show KNOW HIM...so him using the bachchans to get publicity is ABSURD!....Just because hes an indian targetting an Indian doesn't mean anything...HES A COMEDIAN AND WILL TARGet everyone...

Look at Bill Maher, he spares absolutely NO ONE...and he still has em on his shows...whats that supposed to mean....

Ash was an easy target because everyone knows her...and everyone knows shes very pretty and not so talented...
