I completely with Maya_M and ShadowKisses and their takes. In fact I am glad I got some recommendations as I had never even heard of Tum Bin and Maya. So I will definitely put them on my ever expansive list of movies to watch.

Some ones not mentioned here so far in the thread:
Socha Na Tha (so much better than JWM, just did not have the stars. I also developed a crush on Abhay Deol here)
Khamoshi (best SLB movie)
Khamosh Paani (great film about Pakistan with great performances by Kiron Kher and Shilpa Shukla, yes Bindiya)
Hu Tu Tu (God, I love this movie. Everything from the performances to the writing are pretty awesome. Of course being a Gulzar directed film, could one expect anything else?)
Iruvar (This is a Tamil film I know, but you can it on Netflix with English subtitles and this happens to be Ash's debut and probably my favorite performance of hers)
Raghu Romeo (my favorite Rajat Kapoor film; if you liked Mithya then you might want to try it)
Now two comedies from the 1980s that are not lauded enough with I feel one of the most underrated actresses ever Dipti Naval:
Hip Hip Hurray ( a nice carefree college film)
Chasme Buddoor (this should have been at the top of my list, but I wish so many more people could see this movie. This is how I wish comedies were now instead of being so corny. Comedy in Hindi films at its best. Of course it does not hurt that it is not directed by the too often underappreciated directed Sai Paranjape. Best female director and probably one of the best ever in Hindi films as far as I am concerned).
