In my Opinion some of the most underrated movies which really should've been good hits atleast!

Tum Bin

Set in the beautiful backdrop of Canada, an unlikely cast and a simple script that put the film together perfectly somehow this movie slips out from getting the credit it deserves!

Chandini Bar

The journey of a women who's morals are put on the line and forced into becoming a bar girl just to support her jobless pervert uncle. Soon she learns the ropes of the fast world and starts building a brighter future for her children..all to discover that her children fall into the traps of the world and take on their mother's fate as well...A BRILLIANT performance by Tabu [one of her best!] and a deep meaningful script, this might've been controversial to some, but it definetly needs a matur mind to understand this film

what movies do you think didn't recieve appreciation when they should've?

From the recent ones...
Woh Lamhe-Kangana=WOW............such intensity!
Johnny Gadaar-Although the movie was a flop,I'm so glad Neil came out as a winner.
Taxi Number 9211-Teheh I love this film.It was probably one of the few movies I actually liked John in.It was such a refreshing entertainer.Nana was a treat.I laughed through out the film, except for the emotional bit at the end of course..........but it had a sweet happy ending, and so. that's all that matters=] Oh yes and the music of the movie was also quite underrated.
Provoked-Movie wasn't flawless but Aish's performance was amazing. She slipped into the skin of Kiranjeet very easily.

Chandni Bar was a hit and I think Madhur Bhandarkar won a National Award for the same too but yes! it could have been appreciated more.

I agree with Tum Bin. Such a touching and romantic film. Great acting and nice songs. If only it was promoted like the mediocre JTYJN.
In my opinion, the films which is overhyped and everyone from critics to audience watched and rejected cannot be called underrated. Saawariya comes under that. People rejected it. Doesn't matter if some of us liked it.
Some movies which comes to my mind are,
Choti Si Baat (Everyone should watch it)
Kaun (I absolutely loved this thriller)
1947- Earth
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na

OMG.I loved chup chup ke.Haha it was hilarious and truly underrated.Unfortunately, because Chup chup ke's release date clashed with Phir Hera Pheri...............it wasn't such a hit.

The movie that comes to mind is "Maya" by Digvijay Singh. It has been one of the most haunting movies I've watched.

"Earth" (1998) would be another underrated movie. I felt it was a notch better than its predecessor, "Fire" and definitely deserved more accolades than the candy-flick KKHH.
