 Ranbir Kapoor is in his 'I am oh so happy' mood these days, and that's because his love life and his professional life are going exactly the way he wants them to. So much so that he's taken to calling the film industry a 'happy place'."The industry is a very happy place. I am working with some very interesting directors and co-stars. Life just couldn't have gotten better," he gushes. Of course, working with three pretty girls in his second movie is also cause for joy, he admits. "Because I didn't get the girl in my first movie, God decided to be good to me and give me three girls in my second," he laughs. And it's well known by now that of the three ladies – Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone – Deepika, his real-life girlfriend, is not the only one who's bowled him over. "Minissha is a very sweet, grounded and fun-loving girl. Bipasha, on the other hand, is someone I was in awe of. She was such a big star before I did the movie and now, she's a friend. And yes, she's a hottie! I'm sure she'll stay the way she is even when she turns 50," he says, smiling. And what about Deepika? "Deepika... well, what can I say! She is an extremely talented, hard working, amazingly beautiful girl. I'm so very proud of her. At the age of 22, she has achieved what not a lot of 22-year-olds can. And I'm sure she is going to be one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema very soon. She is an amazing person, very simple and very elegant. Anyone would get attracted to all this. Don't you think so?" he asks. We sure do, and, it appears, so do others. But having said all that, Ranbir also adds that he doesn't like his and Deepika's love life being the centre of attention. "It's become bothersome and irritating to just keep answering questions about our love life," he says. "We're new in the industry and trying to find our feet. We'd prefer to be written about for the work we do rather than our personal life. I hope, with our work, the focus shifts to our professional life. We thought that being open about our relationship would put an end to gossip, but now, everyone expects us to talk about that and nothing else." But there is one woman in his life whom Ranbir says he can talk about for hours and hours together without a hassle – his sis, designer Riddhima! "I'm very proud of her. We've grown closer since she shifted to Delhi. I think she's going to be a good designer," he says. |
