State awards for Radhika and Kushboo

'Selvi', the television serial starring Radhika, has won the State government's first prize in the small screen awards category for the year 2006. The award comprises of Rs 2 lakhs, a memento and a certificate.

Kushboo was adjudged best actress for her role in the serial 'Kalki'. The second prize has gone to 'Sorgam' produced by AVM. Another serial, 'Alli Rajyam,' by Vikatan Tele Vistas, has won the award for the best weekly serial. Each will get Rs one lakh, a memento and a certificate.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will present the awards. However, the date of the award function will be announced later.

Thiruchelvam, director of the serial 'Kolangal', has been selected for the best achiever award. Rani Somanathan has won the lifetime achievement award. Other awardees include Prem (editing), Kiran (music director), Ravi Sankar (playback singer), Pramila (playback singer) and Eswar (trick scenes in 'Sindubadh').

Thiruselvam as the best achiever?......he should have be given award for best toture king of the viewers😡..thats what he was achieved😡

Thiruselvam is a high achiever. He is able to make actors and actresses to play non-sense roles in a circular serial. He told in an interview in January that the serial will move faster. What has become of that promise? Also because of him, you all have given me 'Porumai Thilagam' award though I could easily get upset and annoyed.

😡 Thiruchelvam won best achiever??!! Kidding? Right? What nonsense is this?

I could not stand his acting or his serial, that I don't watch it anymore, and he gets his award.

Who is the big idiot who voted for him??? 😡 😡

And Selvi??? won an award? 🤢 🤢 🤢 Something must be wrong with whoever chose Selvi & Thiruchelvam to receive an award. For all I know Mdm R & Thiruchelvam would have bought off the judges. 😡 😡 😡

T'selvam? All I can say is ayyo ayyo. Did they see the killing fields episode where a whole family is wiped out, that gory episode?

Wow!! There is an interview regarding this award and Thiruchelvam mentioned that he really deserves the award as his serial is one of the longest serial and there is a "kolangal" trend..!😆 I'll post the article/interview soon!!😉
