Diwali Night:
A handsome Arnav in a Brown suit and Olive Green shirt abruptly stopped talking (on the phone) and walking as soon as his eyes landed on the magical scene in front of him. Khushi surrounded by 7 layers of diyas, bathed in their warm golden glow, clad in crimson red, with an expression of shyness, awareness and nervousness who pushed herself into the center of the 7 layers of diyas while lighting them one by one.
A request from Lavanya to help Khushi nudged Arnav towards Khushi. Very slowly and very delicately Arnav helped Khushi out of the 7 circles. Once she was out and Lavanya noticed the missing payal on Khushi's ankle, Arnav walked away, Khushi walked in the opposite direction not before looking back for Arnav. He already left that place in a hurry.
Arnav is warming up to Khushi. When he heard the significance of Khushi’s lost payal, he has decided to return it to Khushi which he safely tucked away in his wardrobe. Nani and Anjali’s intervention reminded him that his family is dreaming of his marriage with Lavanya.
Yet, like a moth to a flame, Arnav walked towards Khushi at the poolside. He tenderly fixed her sprained ankle and without letting her get up, he took the second payal out of his pocket and clasped it on her ankle.
The myriads of expressions on Khushi’s face mesmerized him yet again and pulled him towards her. When she hit the wall and stopped, Arnav held her face in his hands and without missing a beat tried to kiss an anxious and confused Khushi.
Aman’s phone call pulled him back from Khushi.
"This is not him. Why the hell did he do that? Why did he let Khushi effect him? This doesn’t fit in his carefully controlled life".
When Arnav was still trying to make sense of why he tried to kiss Khushi, the nasty comments on Lavanya’s stay at Shantivan and the insults directed at his family enraged Arnav even further and, in a haste, he announced his engagement with Lavanya making the whole Raizada family elated and Khushi dejected.
After the announcement he fully ignored Khushi and stepped away when she tried to question him for his actions. His anger reached its peak when she nonchalantly congratulated him for his engagement without probing into why he tried to kiss her.
When he went back to Khushi’s place to return her wallet, he was polite with her family for two seconds and left their house not before declaring that whatever happened between them in the evening doesn’t mean a thing. “Koyi farq nahi padta”

Garima from Shashi’s point of view:
Garimaji entered my life when Jiji and I were struggling to raise Payal, manage the house and run the sweet shop. After marriage, she took charge of everything around the house. I am not sure if someone questioned her ability to raise Payal if she had her own kids, Garimaji made a decision not to have kids of her own. I told Garima ji that we can have another kid, but she did not relent. Jiji who doesn’t warm up to anyone easily loved Garimaji from day one. An efficient and selfless partner, a sister-in-law and a mother stood strong whenever we faced challenges. She is the backbone of our family and a wonderful mother to my two baby girls.
Shashi from Garima’s point of view:
I was deceived; I was called names. Shashiji came into my life like a blessing and offered his hand for marriage. He did not make any false promises. He was very clear on what was expected of me and what he can offer. That is what made me agree to marry him. Payal is a lovely kid. I don’t know what Shashiji told her, but, she accepted me as her mother from day one. When my sister and brother-in-law died in a car accident, I could not turn my back on my little niece Khushi. I requested Shashiji to bring her home. He not only agreed to bring her home but suggested we should adopt her legally. Shashiji loved Khushi and Payal equally. He never differentiated between them and never stopped loving me. He is the soul of our family, a wonderful brother to his sister and a great father to my two baby girls.

Dance Competition:
Khushi Kumari Gupta challenged me that she will win the dance competition and take Nataraj murthy home. When I am on their side and made sure they practiced day and night, how can boys side lose to Khushi? No way. I won’t let it happen!
Di and Jijaji are hosting the competition and I just have to relax and watch the drama unfold, I mean competition unfold.
I can clearly see that Khushi and her party has lost their spirit after watching Nani’s performance. Nani rocked the stage and earned 7 points for us. For whatever reasons, Buaji failed in the jugal bandi and Mami danced like a super star.
"In the break, what was NK blabbering? He will be happy if we lose? How dare he?"
I threatened him with his life if he loses the competition. My threat worked and he performed like a rock star and earned 9 points. At the end of 3 performances Guptas are at 4 points and Raizadas are at 23 points.
Jijaji kept disappearing and poor Di had to look for him whenever they had to make an announcement. It looks like Mami did something to make buaji tipsy during the jugal bandi and buaji took revenge by making mami rub kajal on her face. "These ladies are fighting like little kids, unbelievable!"
Next performance is Khushi’s and she performed on 3 different song segments. The audience could not take their eyes off Khushi. She ended the performance with "Didi tera devar diwana" song. She incorporated my habits into the song, making Gupta family worried. When she ended the song by shooting a flower at me, there was a full blown smile on my face making my family stunned.
They were like “he laughed!".
"I laughed, so what? What is the big deal?”.
I had a confrontation with Khushi during the break. When she ended up in tears, I could not take it.
When it was time for the last performance by Khushi again, Payal was on the phone frantically calling someone. The person who was supposed to dance with Khushi hasn’t arrived. Shyam and NK made indirect offers to Khushi.
When time was running out and when the curtains were raised, lo and behold, my legs took me to the stage where I performed with Khushi on "Teri meri" song.
NK was very upset with me for helping the dushman party in winning the competition an hour after threatening him with his life if he loses.
"Do I care?" I can now boast to Khushi that she won only because of me. Everything is fair when it comes to competitions between Khushi and I.
"Deal with it guys!"
