Ranbir and Deepika were a good pair but majority don't like that opinion. I think even they themselves don't like that opinion.

Their journey as an on-screen pair has always been a mixed bag, with each film delivering a different outcome. BAH barely made an impact and certainly couldn't be classified as a success. This one, on the other hand, connected strongly with audiences and emerged as a major winner. But then came Tamasha, which, despite earning critical appreciation , failed to translate that into box-office numbers during its theatrical run.

The narrative that they were some kind of unstoppable blockbuster duo doesn't really hold up.

Yeah but I find Tamasha and this Ranbir's top 4 movies along with Wake Up Sid and Rocketman. After this I went to watch some of his later movies in theatre only to remain disappointed.

YJHD was the beginning of the end of Ranbir's career..and the cementing of his image for the rest of his career.

The charming, man child, whose moral compass was suspect. A horrible, insensitive son,a sneaky, selfish friend,a rude, entitled bf(?)..No woman should tolerate ,what happened in the Rana Daggubati scene.

After several flops he did Sanju out of desperation. Imagine Ranveer doing Salman Biopic,to clear his imagesmiley8. The film did ofcourse ,nothing for him and he signed up with then 2 B list directors. The one with whom he had nudity clause(everyone signs)-gave him a hit.

Result is that today no one wants to buy RK's films.

YJHD was also the beginning of end of Dharma. That entire kitty has loser written all over them.
