I will give it a shot because of Chen Duling . I was waiting for reviews to come out to see if Ju Jingyi is tolerable in this one or not .

For me JJY was tolerable in In Blossom. Have you watched that?

I am not much of a friend to lover trope fan but this was a cute watch.

The bonding between the main leads as friends/brotherhood was just WOW.

They knew everything about each other, ML even knew what gibberish she says hehe. Their understanding, their communication, their trust for each other is just too good. To be honest I actually felt weird seeing their relationship lol, I used to skip der kiss scenes which we didn't get till epi 24 haha.

But they made a cute couple. Through thick and thin, through happiness and sorrow, just always der for each other

The 2nd couple (married couple) were couple goal for sure, good to see a married couple from starting till end, happy and foolish hehe.

The 3rd couple aka introvert IT and actress, they were adorable, wish they had more screentime and scenes together.

Overall cute show for sure. Must watch if you dont want a stressful show hehe. This was beautiful drama with no real villains

P.S. the bad guy really had a sad backstory which made him a bad guy, i felt so bad for him and his gf (dark ending for them)

Another P.S the main lead are friends from long time in real life too, they grew up together, just imagine the awkwardness they felt when they were kissing. This is called PROFESSIONALISM.

Yup I did! I heard so many complaints about the body swap but I managed to tolerate JJY for most part .

I found Pursuit of Jade really amazing. The small comedy scenes they used were very good. Episodes 23, 24, 25, and 26 were especially very cute. I mean, all the episodes before the identity reveal were really enjoyable. But after episode 29, I felt like the screen time of the hero and heroine was reduced, and the later episodes didn’t feel as engaging to me.

In the ending, I wish they had shown them with their two children—it would have felt even better. It was only mentioned in dialogue. If they had extended it a little and shown more scenes of them together, it would have been great. But anyway, overall it’s a very good drama.

The Marquis of Wuhan’s friend is really funny—especially when he teases him about getting slapped by his wife, it makes me laugh a lot. And the fake Marquis of Wuhan scenes are even funnier. That soldier doesn’t even know what dialogue to say next!

Also, there were some scenes that weren’t shown properly. For example, when she comes dressed as a princess and the hero sees her, his reaction wasn’t captured properly—something more could have been shown there. And when she fell in the mountains and the hero saved her, that reveal wasn’t done properly. She knows it, but there should have been a proper conversation about it.

Anyway, no complaints. Whatever they showed was overall very good—but if these small things were added, it would have been even more enjoyable."

Yup I thought the fake Marquis scene was hilarious too . The makers probably had to squeeze a lot in 40 episodes so I read they cut scenes from the original novel between Xie Zheng and Fan Changyu .The one thing I wish they hadn’t done was that alternate ending sequence. For me what makes Fan Changyu unique was that she is a pig butcher who takes care of her younger sister so showing her as an affluent daughter in that sequence was unnecessary.

I only saw him in The Double and Feud and thought he was kinda meh in both but it seems all his upcoming dramas are male lead so I guess I will see if he is any better in those . What about you?

What are y’all’s thoughts on the actor who played POJ villain - Deng Kai ? I see some potential in him .

I just finished his guest appearance part in The Unclouded Soul and I think he would do better when he enters his main lead era. He annoyed the hell out of me in Feud and Love of the Divine Tree.

Deng Kai always plays the pookie villain even in POJ I couldn't hate him wholeheartedly. Qi Min is insufferable for sure. But if not for his obsession with Yu Qianqian and his paranoia about killing Yu Bao'er his story would move hearts. For me Lin Muran was the most annoying villain in POJ. He reminds me a lot of Zhu Zanjin one smile from them both I need my BP meds asap both were in POJ and I'm GLAD that AI face swap couldn't catch his facial emotions

I liked Deng Kai in Love of the Divine Tree
