Arre yaar how many times do you hear - bache kar lo sab thik ho jayega.

In my own family, I have a nikamma cousin who got married and had a kid all because my Masi thought it might make him serious about life and finally get him to take on a job. The guy is 4 years older than me and only got his first real job now and that too under another cousin who is in a very good position so was able to create a position for him. We literally have a bet going on in a small side group of our family on how long the guy will last. I've got money on 6 months. smiley36 His kid is almost 3 and he's being raised basically by my Masi and Mosa.

Ever since i have gotten married, i am hearing this baccha kar lo, free ho jaaoge, so i know the pressure, trust me for now no one knows it better than mesmiley36

What i don't understand is why they are so obssessed with us making a baby, they literally talks like we are doing some criminal offence by denying them, sometimes i do feel that i am personally offending each and every person in the family and the communitysmiley39

Initially they were obssessed for a boy and now they just want a baby, like their life depends on when are we having a childsmiley37

I feel like some of it is the pressure they felt as well. In those days it was frowned upon not to get married and have at least 2 or 3 kids of which 1 must be a boy and at least one child must be conceived immediately after marriage (literally on the suhaag raat if possible).

So the mohalle wali aunties grew up with that expectation, had that expectation put on them, and so they are putting it on their children and other people's children. The only difference is that it isn't expected immediately after marriage, though the sooner the better, and the demand for it being a boy child has come down somewhat.

I love those people who tell their kids "oh just get married, but you don't need to have kids". My mom is one of those and I laughed saying "yeah after marriage you'll be like, oh you're married so might as well have at least 1 kid". smiley37

They just believe ki shaadi hui hai toh baccha toh hoga hi intentionally na sahi toh accidentally hi sahismiley37

Whatever it is, it is not right to just say have kids, it's enough you should grow up and have kids otherwise of what use and your marriage aresmiley29

Let's not talk about it, otherwise i would end up releasing all of my frustration here onlysmiley36

Yeah it does feel forced , it was so natural in season 1 but this is one of those things which they didn't get right in season 2smiley19
