Why is this an unpopular opinion? Wouldn't most people be happy that Ani is handling this in a stoic responsible manner than the OTT manner in which they were showing things in aag track with bakwaas like Ani being egged on to say fake ILUs to Arshi to bring her out of "trauma" or demanding justice for her blah blah.....lol
I also liked Ani in today's epi....very matter of fact and mature. They rarely let him be in this space....usually there is forced dumbness to set up some MU.
Rest I disagree with you about feeling pity for Arshi.....she deserves nothing and I still feel nothing for her but pure disgust. It actually felt like Karma seeing her doubled over in pain and gasping for breath trying to birth the child she conceived via rape. I don't think Ani showed any excessive care for Arshi today...he was the generally zimmedaar and caring person he is for anyone...but yes, Arshi never had value for this much also and never will.
I haven’t watched the episodes.. but Ani has usually been presented as one with common sense approach and sense of equanimity about most things … that approach in representation has also at times been expedient but in a story when the expediency is explained in a plot device or core characteristic that is consistently on display, atleast I as a viewer don’t complain ( ofc the non common sense or stupidities have also been there at very crucial junctures like Aag or baby announcement but generally few and far between)
To me it’s believable that Ani’s ( Krushal has the ability for the nuance) restraint is on display… in the immediate past when he was flaying about in anger and will to fight… there was something he was fighting for.. For the chance to be with J….He recognises that it’s gone and he feels he only has himself to blame…( here I don’t completely accept the plotline but whatever) so typically like a man resigned to his fate ( which is his general approach to life itself) …he has all but given up… the only distinctive thing that he continues in this phase is his clear communication about protecting J from the onslaught of tirades from his family. He didn’t/ couldn’t do this at the Aag stage and was kinda the cause in the baby stage but from the tumour/HA track he has been single minded in that…this consistency is borne out in the narrative.
I wish to see Krushal in the scenes you guys are saying but too too irritated with the goings on so I won’t but I am pretty sure he has done a good job.
On the other hand Leena hasn’t given Ani a moment of reflection of the deed despite enough assertions of disloyalty to J cos she knows that opens a Pandora’s box… do you guys think she will just bury it completely what now with the baby’s birth now to pass off as an aberration on Ani’s end? 🤷🏻♀️
Still bizarre.. J’s Amar prem display is as unconvincing as it gets…It’s not that someone cannot be stoic about the situation that J is facing.. Ofc one can be if there is kindred kind of a relationship that the two share but the narrative has been so haphazard in this in terms of what portrayal Leena wants J to have… J was shown as aggrieved about what transpired with Arshi announcement so this sudden urge to be so understanding about the situation makes no sense in what it conveys about J… J wanting to be there for Ani’s difficult time - chalo teekh hain but why her bending backwards for the Didi she actually has no great feelings for
