I eagerly agree with the using of some well established plot-parts but the media bashing effectively was something new for an Indian Mainstream/commercial movie (as far as I know).

I also think that it had been the first time a campaign against a SRK movie had been done...

I have no opinion or done analysis on either of your points. I just thought the movie was ghisa pita by including every possible emotion and done to death storyline.
