It's only after 2nd leap for certain someone entire narrative was changed.

But in this season all we can see is only one family, Poddar's.

And abhira doesn't have an identity of her own as she is still studying.

And the story is more about bhabhi and devar, than Abhira!!!

And what story does Abhira have, she is an orphan now, doesn't have a family, she might have a career if she completes her education.

The younger generation had no bond. Apart from Neil-Abhimanyu, the rest of Birla's kids were just there to dance and give expression as and when required. Also, to be used to separate/create misunderstanding between leads

Nishita was nonexistent. Anisha was just there to pave the way for another miscommunication.

Gen 3 was ruined right from the get-go.

Abhira does have a personality.

No its not. If you watch Gen 4, you would know that all tracks revolve around ABhira.

We cannot compare gen 1 to gen 3 as there were a bunch of members in each family, be it singhania or Maheshwaris .

Birla's were a perfect fit for a modern family!!! Specially in 2021.

And Poddar's doesn't fit in 2023, they belong to 17th century.

And as far as I know gen 3 belonged to Abhimanyu and every track revolved around him.

Gen 3 was definitely ruined because of the cameo entry. I completely agree with you on this!!!

Gen 3 was ruined because of bad characterisation and bad storytelling right from the start.

Exactly Aaj kal immediately sudden death de djya jata hai .. mohsin was not shown father to 12 year Akshara n arohi just died in a plane crash .. hina and Karan played parents to shivangi n Rohan mehra . Plus Mohsin khan ka angle had started in the story ..

yeh rishta is the legacy show because of hina and Karan

Please Gen3 wasn’t ruined from the start, it was doing wonderful and the trps was increasing also. The younger Birlas had a wonderful bond- we see Neil, Parth, Abhi, and Nishta be wonderful siblings and support one another. They showed that Manjiri was talked down upon by Harsh and Mahima because she was a housewife and wanted to be a singer. Same with Parth- his parents and wife were annoyed that he had wasted his doctor degree and wanted to focus on music. Shefali was annoyed Parth didn’t support her career ambitions. Neil felt left out due to his adoption- especially cause of Harsh insulting him a lot. Abhi wanted Manjiri to let go of the useless unrequited love marriage. The makers introduced all these family issues so us audience expected them to be solved later in story but nope, only Manjiri finally being over with her marriage was shown, nothing else was executed. Birlas had love for each other and we saw that in the scenes. They supported one another during tough times. They weren’t just a bunch of people living together. We see all of them be there for one one another when they are in trouble. Parth and Abhi had many issues after Leap 2- but custody time, jail time- both times Parth was there supporting his cousin.

Gen3 may not have ran long like other gens but they also gained audience love.

Ya we thought akshara along with abhimanyu will help ,but makers obsession to make arohi superior ,never showed proper bond of akshara with birla to maker shine,in Ichche nodee they showed fl bond with sister who was out and bring her back to family,they could show akshara bridging gap between anisha and mahima as akshara also needed mother love ,she could understand her ,but suddenly made anisha negative to blame akshara

Lol... Abhimanyu bhi special case hi tha... Akshara jaise hi saamne aati thi Abhimanyu ki personality hi change ho jaati thi

But all these issues were sent to back burner to just focus love story that drove away audience. RS kept claiming this was intense love story, but all clips and everything was less intense and more of a comedy, and as a pair they appeared to be worse because they dumped a woman on the wedding day! It just made leads look too desperate.

Poddars are undoubtedly regressive, but they still have some members who are united and has rishtas. Based on things I have read, minus VMs shared, Birlas did allppear to be bunch of people living together without real bonding factor... In ideal iTv show, bonding factor should be ML but here in Gen 3, it seemed, Neil was only best character before Abhinav was introduced. He craved for family, he learnt truth, and so on... It was Neil, Abhimanyu was all about breaking and ignoring family preleap including his own family!

Gen 3, from the start, wasn't Rishta kind of show (and Bhabhi-Jeth angle in Gen 4 isn't either ), but alreast Birlas have that family vibe for now... Birla kind of family was never a Rishta kind... Where absolutely everyone looked down upon one another...

Exactly, your opinion is based on things you have read, not the watching the show yourself. Birlas had wonderful bonds also. I already provided the bonds they had.
Extremely happy that Birlas were never the rishta kind of family- like you said Poddars are rishta family kind- yep got the message highly regressive and toxic 🤣

Also, it’s like everyone misses the point that it was pointed in the drama that Birlas were not the rishta kind of family. Abhi himself always went to Akshu my family is way different than yours- what is Akshu’s family- the rishta kind of family- and so Birlas were opposite of that. Indications and everything showed that Birlas would have growth and stuff after Abhira marriage but makers liked doing horrible executions and leaving tracks midway so yeah.
