I found it very disrespectful too....but its people's perspective.....sometimes we agree....sometimes we don't....no big deal....if someone was defending her...may be from their POV...she didn't do anything wrong.

Twitter has some of the most toxic fans in every single fandom......don't think that its just one celebrity.....its all of them.....After SSR's passing away....Alia received rape and death threats..no one can do anything....better to ignore them for ur own sanity...if it bugs you then report them....

Many whom you listed are not even superstars. I refer specifically to the couple sandwiched in the middle of your groupings. They are not icons and likely never will be.

The trend is that superstar women get the most hate. Before Deepika, it was Aish. I'm sure in the age of social media that Rekha and Sridevi would have gotten similar treatment. They already got a lot of flack in the industry early on for their appearances. Women always experience it twofold.

SRK and Salman are global icons. Both are so elevated that it is natural that they will experience hatred and jealousy and much of the infighting comes from their fandoms and nationalists. I've never seen either experience the type of crude and vulgar remarks that come as part of the territory of being a woman.

I stated that somehow people here get upset if you post about Deepika whether good or bad, but when I post negative tweets reporting another celeb, that celeb is treated like a misunderstood innocent. Bechari Raveena who was "tricked" into liking a negative post. It is not her fault.

Meanwhile, Deepika getting death threats to behead her, cut off her nose, burn her alive, etc. is always Deepika's PR working in overdrive and she is the culprit.

Fans cannot have it both ways.

But why the double standard is my question? If everyone on here can almost unanimously support Raveena, why not show some of this mercy to Deepika or others who are regularly vilified like her?
