Sanjay Leela bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani didn’t work out coz Salman and Ash had broken up by then. Besides, these 3 films no one banned or stopped working with Ash. She was always in demand. She became very famous in west and was sought after there.

Not true. The reason she went to Hollywood is because she was basically a pariah in Bollywood. She was still making movies, but not the big-budget A-List movies she was supposed to be making (Dil Ka Rishta is a wonderful film but no Devdas or Taal). Her breakup with Salman and the aftermath with Vivek Oberoi made them both persona non grata. She was never going to work with Salman again. SRK had cut her out of Chalte Chalte, Veer-Zaara, and other films. He also made sure other BW bigwigs weren't working with her. Aamir Khan blacklisted her because he wanted her for Mangal Pandey but she refused. He was insulted and said he would never work with her again. What saved Aish was marrying into Big B's family which gave her prestige again and protection from Salman.

Bhansali's films were constantly getting delayed and delayed, with or without casting issues. He even wanted Salman and Aish for Padmavati. Aish said she would do it but only if she had no screentime with Salman. Salman said he wouldn't do the movie if there were no scenes with Aish.

K3G was before the Chalte Chalte incident. If I'm correct, Karan asked her to play the Tina role in KKHH as well but Aish refused so he's been wanting to work with her for a while. However, I've never heard of her being attached to KANK or Kal Ho Naa Ho. The former was meant for Kajol but then went to Rani when Kajol said no. Kal Ho Naa Ho was meant for Kareena but she demanded pay equal to SRK so Karan rejected her and cast Preity instead. Rani said she was upset because she thought Karan would have cast her. I haven't heard of Karan trying to cast Aish in anything after the Chalte Chalte incident that involved SRK until she got married.

We won't get to know what exactly lead to the incident on the Chalte set and Aish not getting casted in Veer Zaara.

What we know is that it was so big an issue for SRK that he replaced her and - baring a scene in Karan's movie - hasn't any movie with her till date.

What makes all these stories puzzling is that Aish never spoke about them; she never badmouthed anyone or discussed controversies in interviews. It's quite graceful and classy for a woman who worked in the 90s of Bollywood when actresses were expected to be catty. However, what fascinates me about her is that she never had/has any friends in Bollywood among popular celebs. Like, what could be so bad that SRK had to replace her and then never worked with her again? Other than SRK, I wonder if it's something about her personality that rubs people the wrong way, or they are simply jealous of her.

She badmouthed Manisha in the 90s and sl*t-shamed her for having multiple partners. This was after Manisha accused Aish of stealing one of her boyfriends.

She was also open about her friendship with Rani ending after the Chalte Chalte incident. She and Rani were super close friends before that and there were lots of magazine articles dedicated to their friendship. She has a friendship with Preity but that was less advertised. She was good friends with Sridevi when she was alive and also has a friendship with Rekha. I think she seems more removed from the Bollywood crowd now because she works less and much of her time is spent with her in-laws or working on her global brands.

If she has any "flaw," it's that she had a tendency to get romantically involved with her co-stars between Salman, Vivek, and Abhishek.

She was hated by the Kapoor sisters though especially as Aish's meteoric rise to fame coincided with the period when Karishma's career really took off. There was jealousy because they felt that Aish stole Karishma's spotlight and she was only an outsider with no film connections. The Kapoor sisters used to make fun of the Chalte Chalte incident and claim Aish was a hazard on any set. Kareena especially hated her for being cast in Devdas.

It may be a mix of different things you mentioned, but I firmly believe that Aish said something to Salman that ticked him off to storm his friend's set and that it had been something that was relative to SRK and had triggered Salman's jealousy.

The whole thing got so messy that day which ended in the infamous car accident...

Salman thought they were having an affair but I'm not sure what made him believe that. Especially since Aish accused him of cheating on her.

He did apologize years later for rejecting Aish from all those films so he seems to have realized he overreacted.

There are some rumors (although I think this comes from Aish haters) that one of the reasons he was so angry at her is because they were specifically keeping their shooting locations hidden from Salman and Aish messaged him where she for Chalte Chalte which is how Salman found them. But I don't know if that's corroborated or not because it was an Aish hater who said it and I've never seen anyone else claim this.

It was a rough couple of years for her because all three Khans were blacklisting her. KJo liked her a lot and wanted to work with her but I think he knew SRK would never agree, so he never bothered to cast her in his movies until Dostana. I don't think it's a coincidence that Dostana was the first Kjo movie Aish was supposed to do since it didn't feature SRK in any shape or form. The only other actress who was ever as badly blacklisted as Aish was Priyanka although she only angered 2/3 Khans although Akshay Kumar was another one who blacklisted her.

It certainly may have be sufficient to talk nice about SRK and compare him to Salman when having one of their arguments...(or someone else said something to Salman hinting at an affair - for whatever reason). There are - at least - three people who know what happened and why but they won't tell the details...and if ever, each would give an own version...

So something has happened that had been severe enough to have had quite bad repercussions.
