Interesting. This thread confirms that Aish was offered the role in Jawan but refused because it was a cameo. She said she would want to work with SRK as a co-lead and not a cameo. She must have known her fans would not accept such a small role from her.

I don't know if you got an answer to this or not but after Aish was fired from Chalte Chalte, SRK had her fired from several others films. Veer-Zaara was one of them. She was supposed to play Zaara. SRK told Yash Chopra he didn't want her as the heroine so Chopra cast Preity Zinta instead (Preity asked permission from Aish since they were friends).

Chopra really wanted to work with Aish and have her in the movie so he thought of casting her in the supporting role of the Pakistani lawyer. But SRK said he would not allow her to be in the film in any capacity and so Rani was cast instead. Needless to say, Rani did not ask Aish's permission for this either.

Ash has given up on her career and become an almost recluse.

Indeed I already could read it in another thread. If it has happened like that then I suppose that there had been serious issues between Aish and SRK because of the Chalte incident and SRK would have felt extremely uncomfortable to work with her. He would not like that as he wants a nice work-ambiance.

Yes, I don't know why he took so much of his anger out on her. He was on better terms with Salman then, so I don't know if he felt safer punishing her for the anger he felt towards Salman, knowing Salman is a much bigger fish to fry in the industry. He did apologize years later for rejecting Aish from all those films so he seems to have realized he overreacted.

There are some rumors (although I think this comes from Aish haters) that one of the reasons he was so angry at her is because they were specifically keeping their shooting locations hidden from Salman and Aish messaged him where she for Chalte Chalte which is how Salman found them. But I don't know if that's corroborated or not because it was an Aish hater who said it and I've never seen anyone else claim this.

It was a rough couple of years for her because all three Khans were blacklisting her. KJo liked her a lot and wanted to work with her but I think he knew SRK would never agree, so he never bothered to cast her in his movies until Dostana. I don't think it's a coincidence that Dostana was the first Kjo movie Aish was supposed to do since it didn't feature SRK in any shape or form. The only other actress who was ever as badly blacklisted as Aish was Priyanka although she only angered 2/3 Khans although Akshay Kumar was another one who blacklisted her.

Atlee spoke to every media outlet possible post Jawan release.Sid did the same.Both spoke about how they presented SRK and the rest of the cast.

No, actually Ash was never blacklisted. Chalte Chalte she was dropped after the on set fiasco therein right after Veer Zaara didn’t materialise.
Sanjay Leela bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani didn’t work out coz Salman and Ash had broken up by then. Besides, these 3 films no one banned or stopped working with Ash. She was always in demand. She became very famous in west and was sought after there.

Actually, Kjo told on the Komal Nahta show that each and every movie that he directed he approached Ash to star in it. But something or the other didn’t work out.

In fact, K3G Ash was almost signed coz Kjo wasn’t sure Kajol would do it after marriage but then Kajol called up Karan telling she will do it so he had to let Ash go.
